It sounds fine into an amp would make a great fly rig rather than lug a pedalboard around ( I use a Mooer GE300 and absolutely love it!) . I think going direct you always need to get into the settingsand tweak the tones . All good these things have come a long way in the past decade or 2.......great review Shane !

Perhaps it’s the settings but when the Moore Gt150 is going through the amp it sounds fizzy and muffled. Playing it through the sound card sounds much better and brighter to me. I did notice that when you played the intro, it sounded great with the mix. It’s all about tweaking the effects to your liking. Great video Shane!! Cheers!!!🎸🎸🎸🎸🤙🏾🤙🏾

I actually preferred it going into the sound card over the amp (although they went from two extreme's for me). Sounded OK clean, but the distortions were very fizzy. I don't know what it is with the Joyo 5W amp, but it sounds like there's a blanket over it. Maybe it sounds different in the room? Shane, I'd be interested in seeing you put this through your blues deluxe or DSL on clean and see how it sounds.

I've used various pedal effect boards, and about four months or so got this unit. Just remember that even digital circuits produce heat and can disrupt any device. So, I'd suggest at least turning off unit, because when turned on or I should say plug in power supply to wall, will help longtime life. I honestly think the functions of the pedal is outstanding tone shaper. I agree, that going thru an amp is far better than using thru setup. All tones are very tweakable. So for the cost, when on a budget is fair, of course this is only my opinion.

Good Presentation of the Unit. I have one myself and would be interested in seeing a video about loading external IR's. I have some already and do notice a difference but would like to see what you suggest.

Hi great video thanks. I am finding a bit of lag in when switching between presets. It seems that the change it triggered by the release or "up" action of the footswitch rather than down. I can't find any information in the manual and was just wondering if there is any way to configure this behaviour of the footswitches. I am finding it really hard to time preset changes when the lag is so noticeable.

One question Will the OTG carry the audio from aux in? Like can I play a backing track and then record it into phone via USB alongside with my guitar processed sound? Thanks

If not for just purchasing the Zoom G1X4 I may have considered this but I think I'll stick with the Zoom, got some killer sounds out of it after some tweaking.

I hope you can at least assign the footswitches to turn effects on or off, that way it can be usefull in a live situation

This is so affordable that You could just use it after the attenuator/loadbox as a IR loader with stereo effects, i wonder what latency and parameters does it have in this field.

how does this compare to the Digitech RP360? I also think it's more convenient to have an expression pedal slot to use the one you like so you are not always carrying one.

Is it the upgrade on the GE100? If so, I might consider a gear acquisition.

listened through my spark and thought the tones sounded dull..brightened up a little when you went in your soundcard

the only problem that i found is that you cannot sync the two buttons so you have dead gap when you switch presets.....solo to rhythm or opposite

This unit sounds brilliant though my headphones, trying to get it working through my computer (Mac) speakers. Plexi is the best I’ve ever heard.

Can it be connected to other individual pedals, like an overdrive and distortion pedal? I'm planning to build a hybrid pedalboard.

I do like me a Harley Benton. Got two actually and just as good as, if not better that my Gibson Flying, especially regarding keeping in tune.

Can you bypass the amp sims to get your actually amp tone ? Then just use the effects ?

Is this better (in sound) than Mooer Radar? I know GE150 will have more funcionality, but soundwise, it is better?

I own a Boss GT-1 it took a lot of experimenting to get good tones direct, I imagine this to be the same.

I'm thinking of getting one of these, been playing guitar for 30 years and I've had everything from analog to digital, but now I need something cheap and very portable, I've had the Zoom MS-50g and I loved it, but it's one button form factor turned it into a one trick pony on live situations, but it had a lot more effects than this unit, would you guys recommend the Zoom G1X Four or the Mooer GE150, I've read the Zoom has terrible cab and amp simulators and distortions compared to the Mooer, but the Zoom has really great reverbs, delays and modulation effects, on the other side the Zoom runs on batteries and USB power (so it could run off a power bank in theory) while the Mooer has a lot more effects but doesn't run on batteries, has better cab and amp simulators and can combine more affects at a time

why not connect it via usb rather than the sound card?

I think there is something wrong with it when it's connected directly.. Like it would sound better but there is something wrong..

You didn't show the chorus, flanger, wah, any other weird effects if it has any. Any pedal nowadays has good distortions and clean tones

Ok, the sounds don't impress me much. But, dear Shane from Down Under, do you still have to twist the rotary knob a felt hundred times to for example get the gain from 0 to 100 (as was the case with the GE200)? By the way, is it true that pretty much everyone plays the guitar the wrong way round in Australia? And is this because you drive on the wrong side of the road or because your toilets flush the other way round? ;-)

Can the order of effects be edited on the 150, like it can on the larger models?

I've owned and tested, in multiple live situations, all of the different versions of this firmware build (for example, the Mooer GE150 is an exact clone, but with a plastic housing). They all would be outstanding units, were it not for a couple of fatal, deal-breaking flaws that I've had the displeasure of experiencing while in live use. So, yeah...NOT good. The first problem I encountered was that, randomly, on some but not all banks where you build your own preset, the modulation effect will reset itself to maximum level, no matter where you set it when you built the preset. Yeah,I know. Weird! And their support team didn't know how to fix it. Again (let's see if I can explain this better): if you set up a preset with a modulation effect (flanger, let's say), and you set the level to "5", and saved it, here's what might happen on some (butagain, not all) banks -- you'll turn off the unit, and then, when you turn it back on, the level on the flanger for that preset will reset itself to a level of "10". Have you ever hit a pedal in a live performance and had one of the values you thought you set to your preference be COMPLETELY out of whack? Yeah, it sucks. The second problem I've found is that the expression pedal can NOT be reliably set to any other values than the default of: Min=0%, Max=100%. This sucks because I, personally, lie to set my volume pedals to Min=50%, Max=100%, so that I have a set rhythm volume (Min) and a set lead volume (Max). Easy, right? Well, these pedals don't seem to be able to do that. No matter how I've tried (and again, only on certain banks), it just goes backto factory default. So anyway, these are things you'll never hear from any of these gear review channels, because odds are, they don't actually use the gear they review enough to find all the practical flaws. What really irked me, though, is that the company's own support team was utterly clueless.
