Are the power amps based on the heads of famous 100 watt heads? Like for example do they have a Plexi? Or something like that. Really trying to decide if I want to get one.

Very nice video broski🔥 I love mooer 💗 They have such amazing product. I wanted to ask you, can i use the radar with my GE200 from mooer? The cabs are ok on the GE200, but the cabs on the radar sound pretty darn good from this video

I'm not totally sure since I have yet to try the GE200. However, if you have the ability to turn off cabinet simulation on the GE200, then I don't see why you can't use the Radar with the GE200! If you want to see me demo the GE200, please contact Mooer and tell them you want to see me demo that unit!

Great review! Thank you for sharing. Say, what is your take on comparing the Two Notes Torpedo C. A. B. to this Mooer Radar?

Thank you! It really depends on what application you need either of these pedals for. The Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B. has the most options. With MIDI control and Torpedo Remote being as user friendly as it is, it's hard to go wrong with that. However, if you need just one solid unit that can house quality Cab IRs and doesn't take up much room, the Mooer Radar is the way to go especially how virtually inexpensive it is when compared to the Torpedo C.A.B. I made a video demoing the Torpedo C.A.B. that you can check out on my channel if you want! Hope this helps!

would you prefer to load custom IR with POWERAMP OFF or ON?

It depends on what I'd be using the Mooer Radar with. If I'm just using a preamp model of something, then I'd probably turn the power amp simulation on. If I was using a full amp model what was already simulating a power amp section, I'd turn the power amp simulation from the Radar off. However, experiment, you never know that'll sound good! I hope that helps.

loved ur video n playing bro.i love metal n wish to buy a cab stimulator.i cant decide between torpedo cab m n mooer radar...how ever for only loading ir which one will be better? n 1 more thing,can i turn on poweramp in radar/cab m with external irs? kindly suggest.thank you

Thanks! I use just an unbalanced TS cable since the 1/4'' output of the POD and the input of the Radar are both unbalanced.

Gerry Trevino thanks for reply. I am planing to use radar with two notes torpedo captor. Captor has balanced TRS output and radar ha unbalanced input and now I don’t know what cable to use🤔.

Hmm, I see. I'd say try using just a regular TS cable and see if that works out for you. If you're still having problems are you're good with a soldering iron, just make a TRS to TS cable. When making this, make sure to solder the Ring on the TRS side to the S of the TS side. T - T R - S S - S Haven't tried this in practice, but I've made a bunch of XLR to RCA cables for work and this is essentially doing the same thing but for a 1/4 cable. Hope that helps!

Do you think you can just simply have a mooer radar along with other pedals? instead of having another amp simulator pedal on your board? Coz I use Joyo american sound ampsim pedal in my board because i dont like the sound of my amp and wanted to hear more fender like tone.

I'm not familiar with the Joyo stuff, but essentially you could pair the Mooer Radar with any preamp/distortion pedal and drastically change the sound to your liking!

Isn’t it bad to turn on a tube amp without a cab connected to it? I want this pedal but I don’t want to burn my guitar heads. I have a Mesa triple rec and a 6505

Yes absolutely! Please DON'T EVER run your tube amp with a speaker cab or some sort of load box connected to it. If you're looking into silent recording with your tube amps, then I'd check out something made by Two Notes like their Torpedo Captor or the Torpedo Live. However, if you're playing live with your cabinet connected to your amp and still want to feed a direct signal to FOH, then the Mooer Radar will still work for that application. Try experimenting with the Slave Out of your Mesa Triple Rectifier or the Preamp out of your Peavey 6505, or the FX Loop Send of either amplifier. Ola Englund did a wonderful video of the Mooer Radar where he uses it with his Randall Satan Tube amp. Definitely check it out!

I only use pod hd500x and connect that into my computer with usb cable. I have no amp or anything. Could i use Mooer Radar with all that?

That should be possible as long as you run the Mooer through the FX Loop of your POD HD500x!

Is there a way to run this along with a Mooer micro preamp into the effects loop of a tube anp head and 4x12 cab?

I'm assuming you're using the tube amp head as a power amp to a Mooer Micro Preamp so you can hear it through your 4x12. In that case, I think so! All you would need to do is split the signal from your Mooer Micro Preamp so that it can hit both your guitar amp head and the Mooer Radar. One output would hit the FX return of your amp so that you can hear it through your cab and the other output would go the the Mooer Radar so that you can send that signal to FOH or whatever you intend to use that pedal for. Again, I've never tried this myself and it's just a theory, but I feel like that should do the trick!

The one's that come with the Mooer are actually quite good for the price! The one I used in this video is the Carvin Legacy model by Rosen Digital Audio, but they have since turned into Lancaster Audio. I just got my hands on the Trey Xavier pack from them and I'm extremely happy with them!

are there any V30 presets? Would this be any good to use after the DI out of my marshall sv20 or after a two notes torpedo captor then into FOH

Well, there are definitely Cab IRs of some that are emulating V30s. Hard to say since I'm not totally familiar with the amp, but if you can run the DI without damaging your amp head, then I'd say try that!
