Anton, Thank you for the DFAM RU-vid video. I have all three Moog Semi-modulars and for some reason find them more challenging to learn to understand and play than my Euro-Beast where patching is more straight forward. I am one of those “see and do” types or just hellbent on outright experimentation and we all know that trial and error can be very rewarding or infinitely disappointing especially when something comes out that was not planned and totally unexpected. I have some of your patches for Moogs Semi-Modulars, not all and they are very instructive. I think I missed this one somewhere along the way probably because I have actually purchased more patches and presets for Deepmind 12, ASM Hydrasynth, VSTs for Pigments from you as well a Nicholas Kimemko. The plus side of these is compactness of the three. The negative side is the separate audio outs on each, and dealing with the power supplies especially when yanking them out of their racks to put into l larger HP or Eurorack case. Anyway, I ramble … thanks for the patch docs, videos and your know how.
Very cool! I'd be very interested to know how you mix you demos in a DAW, lots of EQ and compression? I find it very precise each time, for different types of music. I'd love to know a bit more on how you mix those!
Mixing is very basic. In 99% cases i don't put eq on the synths i demo. Compressor - sometimes - some gentle opto/la2a to even the overall volume. And a limiter on master
@@AntonAnru Excellent thank you. I should have expected this: when you're good at sound design you don't need much processing. Thanks for taking the time I appreciate!
I love your dfam patches and tips, you are such a great resource. Thanks!! I just recently discovered maybe a flaw in my DFAM, or maybe I'm not doing something correctly, and hoping you can help. I have a trigger from Pam's patched into the "RUN/STOP" input. It's a slower 1/12 clock division of the main clock that is clocking DFAM. the effect I wanted was for the DFAM sequence to run normally until the 1/12 trigger pulse stops it, then resumes when the 1/12 trigger pulse starts it again. The trigger does in fact start and stop the DFAM sequence at the 1/12 trigger intervals, but there is no sound output. The red "run/stop" light comes on, and the red lights move through the sequence, but there is no sound. BUT, If I manually hit the red "run/stop" button, the sequence runs and I hear sound, but the 1/12 trigger does not stop or start the sequence. Any ideas??
never faced such problem. I modulated run/stop by Mother-32, and it worked as expected. Try different sources of modulation to see if the source can any difference
The thing is that the run/stop works from the Pam’s trigger. Just it’s not opening vca and allowing sound to pass. The lights are all moving- running and stopping as expected. Just no sound.
@@AntonAnruit’s not voltage. Pam’s output 0-5volts and the trigger I’m sending is at 100% (5v), and DFAM is expecting 0-5v at that run/stop input. Both specs are confirmed in the manuals.
