The Moog Minimoog Synthesizer is one of the big legendary synths in music history. Used by many pop and rock groups in the 70s, 80s and today. Here can you find the full Minimoog playlist with a lot single sound demos, synth comparisions and one synth demo tracks. Enjoy. If your son said that by simply listening to the Mini Moog on RU-vid imagine what he would say if you actually had one at home. (I do have one and have had it since 1984. Nothing is like it).
As mentioned by Rick Wakeman, he got his first one cheap because the guy who was selling it thought it wss faulty because it would only play one note at a time.
Moog ist einfach fett. Die Bässe, Brillianz. Unglaublich gute Filter. Moog klingt einfach genial. Jeder Synth besessene sollte einen besitzen. Gehört in jede Sammlung. Wenn es ein aktuelleres Modell sein soll, kann ich den Sub37 wärmstens empfehlen.
Yeah, did that and it got rid of the clunk with every key. The metal strips that the bushings sit on are a tad crooked. Still, it's very playable. It's probably my most prized possession.
One day I'll own a Moog, just got to save some pennies each week. Great demo. One question for you RetroSound; if you could only use one synth, which one would it be?
Another great demo. Loved that modulated sound. Do you have an Oberheim SEM? I just got one last week. Absolutely killer. Would love to see what you do with one
Great vid man! Quick question how do you make the note last long after you release it as this model doesnt have release parameter or do you have an external delay on it?
mmmm ok mates, either im goin daft or you are ? i dont actuarly own a minimoog myself, but from what a sem to believe/think , from memory ,that it DOES HAVE an "a d/r s" envolope genorater [ which cheap/older synths often have ] BUT [ an atact,] "decay/release" COMBINED IN ONE KNOB, [and a sustain level,] ie to get that long note release your lookig for is easy, you just turn up the COMBINED decay/release knob, which meams if you do want a long release time, you have to be content that they decay part of the sound will also decay longer, thats why most synths have a full adsr [ attact decay sustain release knobs ,so that you can adjust each paramitor seperatly, ie no "delay" effect is needed, so when i want a long "fade out" i just increas the release time , which i believe you can do simply by increasing the COMBINED decay/release knob on the moog, if im right, as i believe i am ? than how can you , the vidio poster not allready know this and tell the inquirer the correct info ? i have many synths and all have an adsr, or even more complecated multistage envolopes, [ which nowadays are even MORE comman ] and believe that only the cheapist synths have less then an adsr envolope generator, so if im right how/why on earth doesnt the moog owner seem to realise that ? ok cheers. live long and prosper !
yeah but it does not sound the same. More features is cool but in the end what matters is the sound that comes out and the Sub 37 has its distinct sound but if you want the Mini D sound well you have to bite the bullet and buy one.
Lovely classic analog synth sound. On the other hand, everything that it plays really sounds like a Minimoog. What it does, it does well, but it's not really that versatile of an instrument.
