Jakob this is most excellent! I hope Moog paid you a lot for it as it would be well deserved. I would go buy the bundle if I hadn't already bought it last month. I did pick up the AU version of the phaser and Dalek plugins as they are on sale right now. Thank you so much for such an excellent channel. Oh, I am having a little trouble locating the MF106...maybe you could add a special link to it in the future, or past, which ever suits your time line better.
It is a crime you have less than 45k subs at the moment! Your productions are always high quality and you have the history to prove it. This video without a doubt is a great example of your qualities as a content creator which includes video and music. More than once, I found myself listening to your examples in this video with the hairs on my arms standing up from pleasure. Well done Jakob, very impressive. And great to see you supported by Moog this time!
Is it possible to use the touchscreen to move more than 1 knob at the same time? I hate that I can't do it in their Model 15 unless I use a midi controller.
Yes of course, the moogerfoogers support multitouch. So does the model 15 but it’s very different since the size of the UI requires scrolling the interface up and down. But I agree with you, I wish they would add a setting for turning that off in configuration.
I always look forward to watching your videos Jakob, because one, I always learn a thing or two, and two, I always get a laugh 😅😂 I think this is one of your best videos to date! Your way of explaining things, and your sense of humor, make learning otherwise mundane technical details such a joyful experience! Thank you for that!
Though you left some stuff out due to length this video is still a deep dive into MFooger functionality. Also, this really breaks down processes/workflows via IOS, AUM, Apps and Synthesis in general. I will probably watch this 10+ more x’s to recall things I have forgotten as I work through projects. Your videos are a priceless resource in every aspect!!! HUGE THX!!!
I did leave a lot stuff out. 😅 The original script ended up being 3 hours so I had to cut it down. I’ll be putting up a couple of shorts about some stuff, I’ve allready put out a short one on Instagram if you follow me there. It’s about modulating moogerfoogers with MiRack through AUM. 😘 Thank you so much for your kind words and your support.
Hey Jakob! Are you working on a video for the Moog Mariana? Considering how tightly integrated it is with the Foogers, and how wonderful this Fooger video is, seeing your combine the two would be exciting! Much thanks and apparition for your videos!
Also! Do you know if Moog is going to publish an API for their CV modulation interfacing? Wouldn't it be something to bring these into other synths like they are doing with Mariana?
Wow, what a great video! Showcasing the Foogers with cool ideas for sound design, explaining fundamental synth and effects elements, all very well presented, visually and sonically, seasoned with some humor and you also made a time machine… maybe… Much obliged! 🐄
Thanks for this in-depth review, Jakob. The complexity of these plugins informs me these are not for me, but for the sound tweaker who really needs to drill down deep to achieve the sound they are looking for. This level of complexity is beyond my patience and need for instant results, even though it's possible to create some very interesting sounds. Still, a great video and I love Moog's stuff.
Thank you, Jakob! I have one question: With the ring mod, can you send both carrier and modulation signals into the effect? Also, I'm glad you didn't shatter space/time.
The carrier is an internal affair but it can be modulated. And you could always send a carrier as a modulation signal into a 102 and modulate the carrier with it. I didn’t actually comment here yet so I think I did shatter space time … 🥶😱
Great great video once again. I bought these as soon as I saw these. I have played with them a little bit but cant wait to dive face first into them. Thank you again for all that you do. These video not only helpful but inspiring.
It is a possibility that I take a look to these FX plugins. I was looking for some “classic” stuff, which they can seemly do. But, also, thanks to Mr. Hak abilities, they open a whole new world to newbies as me (with time and practise :-) ). Mr. Jakob, you are a snake enchanter :-)))))
I’m also a cow in disguise. If you follow me on Instagram I also put up a short on how to modulate moogerfoogers with something like MiRack through AUM. 😘
I had to cut an entire part out of the video because it got to long. But you can take an LFO in MiRack and output that through audio out. You then route that out with AUv3 multi I/O to a moogerfooger. In the moogerfooger you then bring in the signal through side chain. 💋
... and just for fun, two points: A I skipped a few times backwards to enjoy your outro holy-cow-song in detail (please never bother to put or not to put these elements in your stuff, they are essential) B the WARP was sold before you may expect.... Did you ever own a Yamaha Rex-50? Was one of the first easy affordable multi efx in the early 90s. The manual said (on page 13 or 17, anywhere inbetween as far I remember), that (roughly concluded from memory) „for negative delaytimes, a signal appears before availlable on the input“. ....-- I don‘t know what they smoked back then, ... but it must have been capable to engage that kind of warp, -> where you thought, a singularity is needed or helpful for 🤣
"sliced pineapple pizza" - all your Italian subscribers just unsubscribed 😀😀😀 Absolutely great video. I bought all moogerfooers in second it went available and i know that they are fantastic, still you video made me love them even more .. the quality of your videos is aboslutely stellar, top class !! I would literally watch your video about absolutely any topic even if it would be totally uninteresting topic for me lol - just because i simply love the amount of quality and sense for detail your are putting into your work ! RESPECT !
Excellant vid. You are partly responsible for me buying these despite me thinking i didnt need more delays, generators, ect…. You got me curious….. yea these apps are excellent and the vid super well done
Did a docutorial about it a while ago: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YGZPFiSJEqE.htmlfeature=shared It’s really good and have been updated with a bunch of stuff since then. Well worth the money.
Many thanks for your in depth review/tutorial. I grabbed the bundle deal on release and was a little overwhelmed at first. My favourite is the ring mod, I’ve been looking for a decent ring mod au3 and this one is great, not as flexible as my ehx ring thing but being able to stack it in fx slots yields fantastic results.
Great video Jakob, neat trick with the phaser bass/high pass low pass… I can’t believe it is that simple to get those terrible sounding lows out but retain the phaser qualities. Very nice. Well worth the wait dude!
This is a great breakdown man, cheers. I got the free week long trial of the VSTs but real life got in the way and I wasn’t able to explore them properly. At £40, I reckon the iOS suite is a no brainer purchase really. I use an iConnectivity interface between my iPad/Mac so I could have all MF pedals set up in AUM and route signals between the devices freely. Again, cheers for a top vid and kudos to Moog for sponsoring your channel. Peace ✌️
