Here is a link the patch bank if you're interested! :) gumroad.com/l/QsNL Make sure you also check out Patch Pack 2 - now available too! lostclouds.gumroad.com/l/Sub37-2
The patches are fully backwards compatible, so no issues there. My understanding is that the Sub37 has slightly less headroom and can't be driven quite as hard before distorting, but it's hard to to say how much difference that will actually make. I will say that I believe some people with the Sub37 have bought these patches and as far as I know they've all been able to enjoy them with no troubles :)
I purchased this yesterday and I am blown away by these sounds. I didnt realize my Subsequent37 could sound so impressive. Very useful sounds. I love the On the run patch....
Terrific patches - I just bought them. As much as the patches, I appreciate the PDF explaining your thoughts and strategy behind them. You've really jump started my moog skills. Thank you!
Best I've heard... takes me long while to settle on a piece of gear as I want it to be a good fit for my music, but this pack has helped that decision.
Thank you so much for this!❤ the pack is incredible and the notes you gave with it on is just unreal! I was very happy to pay for it. It inspired so much music creativity THANK YOU
Love your work. Most patches featuring the Sub37 tend to highlight its sawtooth sounds rather than the smoother textures this synth is capable of. Thanks for the recent video...
totally agree, been eying off a sub 37 but was worried the only thing it could do was stephan bodzin style bass patches, i have a moog voyager and i find it a bit limited but this convinced me of the versatility of the sub37
This was really awesome... this is a must have Synthesizer... but I guess it also depends on the skill of it's programmer... Thumbs up Lost Clouds... I must say you made me get lost up in the clouds aching for this Moog machine...
I bought a subsequent 37 based on this video, you need to make some tutorials, make them as online lessons and charge for all we care, just get it done buddy!
For what it's worth, I ended up doing exactly this and now have both units. What an amazing combo. I am going to try out your presets through the Eventide Blackhole algorithm right now.
Inclined to disagree but I understand the sentiment - to me, especially with the Sub37, effects are an important part of the sound when you're looking for that ambient/cinematic vibe so it was important to show that.
@@ToyKeeper There are thousands of videos of it dry. This was for ambient sounds so it fits. I’m in the camp that thinks most instruments are pretty boring sounding when dry.
@@rorykhanmohon Yeah, it definitely sounds a lot richer with effects. It's a huge part of the sound, especially for ambient purposes. But in a patch bank demo, I was hoping to hear what the patches sound like. The effects aren't part of the patch.
Beautiful and serene patches. Thanks for the wonderful demo! I have been looking at the Sub 37 and I am coming close to pulling the trigger on it. I think it will be a great addition to my REV2 and Summit.
Lost Clouds sorry I need to come back again, it’s been two days since having these patches and I haven’t enjoyed my moog Sub37 this much since I got it. For the price this is wayyyyyy to good a bargains for a competitor that charged $100. Having heard many of your videos, seeing this available was a treasure that reflects the talent of the artist behind the music, and the sound I’ve come to really appreciate. So I again say thank you for making your sound available at my finger tips.
Great job! Bravo! Trying to decide if I should try my very first Moog.Have had experience with many other brands but not Moog. Question: on many of your patches, I hear a background “chord”. Is that coming from the Sub 37 or are you adding a track or sustained chord from a different synth? Thanks!
You can't go wrong with this synth if you can afford it, I'm still lusting about it even after having seen every video on YT about it. But it will always be only two high quality, independantly controlable and driveable oscillators : tasty mixer drive but no onboard effects, latch function but no "background pad.mp3" player etc... Every reverb, delay or pad that you hear in those demos is not coming from the synth. That said, if it had any of those things someone would always have something to say about it, it is way better this way, but the Sub is SCREAMING to be paired with good effects, so be sure to be able to give it that quickly if you go for it. Otherwise there would be something missing.
@@tomgreenmusic Very welcome, I find your video's very inspiring, I'm glad to support the cause! BTW: I was wondering why you only used the e-dome reverb style on the Ventris with all these patches. Cheers
@@tomgreenmusic Is it possible to tutorial about creating sounds? I am collecting money for Moog Subsequent 37 but it would be awesome to learn how to build that sound also in DAW just step by step especially sounds 1; 13 and 15 my fav
Hi I want to ask you something, When I watched this video I decided i will buy subsequent37 and this patches, are you make recording with VENTRIS DUAL REVERB mono to stereo, or mono to mono ? ventris make to convert ?
Good choice!! The routing on this is Sub37 to input 1 on the Ventris, then output 1 and 2 on Ventris to my audio interface, i.e. mono into the reverb but stereo out!
@@tomgreenmusic Hi bro i buy subsequent37 but i cant buy your pack because Turkey Paypal not work, tell me another way please, kantikferhat11 @ gmail . com
Hi, how did you do the stereo pan delay on the first sound "on the run";-)? Which plugin/hardware did you use for the delays, beside the ventris reverb? I tried to use Echoboy, but I don't get the same stereo panning results as you, because the moog sub 37 is on a mono channel. In my Cubase the delay still sound in mono:-)
Hey, I just rented a Sub37 for a month to make sure I love it before I buy one. I didn't know you could even get patch banks for the Sub37! I thought it was just the presets and then whatever you managed to come up with yourself. How does it work?
Absolutely! I'm away from my Rev2 for a little while, up to like 3 months, but it's definitely a priority as soon as I get it back! Hope you enjoy the pack, definitely let me know your thoughts once you've tested them out :)
Nice patches! Just bought them. How long you been using the subsequent 37? You make some awesome sounds. I'm brand new to it so I've got a lot of learning to do. I'm good with the Arp Odyssey but not this thing lol.
Quick Question - For "Cinematic", it seems you are controlling the filter of the whole section with the filter knob, but only the bass note with the mod wheel. How is this achieved? Would the wheel not also change the pitch of the rest of the arp? It's a lovely effect and I'd love to recreate it with my own Arps etc. Thanks in advance!
Two of my favourite features of the Sub37 are that 1) you can link the pitch wheel to one oscillator only and 2) you can use duo mode to turn off key tracking on oscillator 2. Combine those, tune oscillator 2 to a nice bass note, set the pitch wheel to effect oscillator 2 only and change the up/down range of the pitch wheel and you get that patch :)
