Ha, great video. One nitpick, you do actually see Steven turn the hidden phone on. So the ringing is explained. But yeah, running to the elevator in an earthquake might be why the voice keeps calling him "the idiot".

6:19 I'm pretty sure the scene was meant to be set in Germany. It was apparently filmed in Hungary (town) and Slovenia (car chase), but all the text and the license plates are German in that scene; not sure why everyone speaks English, though.

The town also has signs in German, and he later mentions it being in the Alps. (I'm not sure whether he actually *knows* it was the Alps, or if he just guessed that from the language.)

@@richardhollander323 They put so much effort into making the Hungarian town look German, that it must be important for the plot, right? Anyway, not many people were talking. Mostly the guards and Ethan Hawke. The only other person talking is the old lady and her accent isn't German (might be Hungarian, but I dunno).

... anyone a little over the "the protagonist is a jerk actually" perspectives on media? Like, it doesn't work here. The broom salesman guy was constantly blocking Steven's entryway. Steven's boss is an obvious, massively controlling, incredibly demeaning a-hole. He's clearly supposed to be sympathetic. Why not... y'know... be okay with that? Is that just me?

I think Marc is pretending to be Steven. Apparently in real cases of D.I.D. it's common for the main alter to basically do things to help the other personality out including pretending to be them if they're aware of the other personality. And sometimes they do conversate with each other at times. If nothing else this shows how horrible life could be dealing with D.I.D.

He specifically asked Steven not to "fight" him. I think in the Alps Steven was subconsciously struggling with Marc, which caused him to keep (as Eminem put it) snapping back to reality.

I think the date was just Marc wanting to enjoy a bit of fun. As for the fish due to Marc going to I think it is supposed to be Austria for 3 days. The fish doesn't get fed and dies. That is why the pet shop owner said Steven came in the day before trying to find a fish with one fin. It was actually Marc looking for the fish so he could replace it. In order to keep Steven from realizing so much time had passed

Honestly, I assumed whoever asked that woman out wasn't Marc or Steven (they do have other alters afaik), but you'd think he could at least have called to postpone. 😔 That is, assuming he had the chance while out doing mysterious mercenary stuff. (I feel like he must have called the museum at some point, because unless the giftshop's closed Friday to Sunday, no one mentioned Steven missing work)

@@cracked I think it is imaginary Switzerland. Everything is written in german, but the car number plate is an EU plate that says SZ. But as you know Switzerland is not in the EU and none of the alpine german speaking countries have number plates like the ones in the episode.

Steven is in pretty deep denial, if he didn’t notice he goes missing for days until well into adulthood, things like him not buying nanny cams or not looking at the date on his phone lock screen could be explained as he doesn’t actually want to know the answer but he knows it’s not normal to not want to know the answer so he makes token efforts.

It’s been WAY too long since you’ve done a “Breeding Briefing” (my names better). I know they must be kinda rough to study, write & film, but I LOVE THEM! Do be overwhelmed by the “Entire MCU” none sense that’s a ridiculous ask. But please please something fun & comparatively easy like “The Mummy” or “Bill & Ted” or “Pee-Wee Herman”. @@cracked This is terrific news! I think since you’ve brought Cracked back from the dead single handedly the least they can do is allow you to post YOUR IDEA to your channel. The little Improv/sketch comedy theater I worked for had a similar contact that I disliked. Any material that made it into the show then belonged to that theater. Characters would remain yours but that scene was theirs…I got it but I didn’t like it! Even Screen Rant gave Ryan his own “Pitch Meeting” channel but he had made 200 of them before releasing him. It’s an example that gives me hope that Cracked will do the right thing.

So Steven didn't wake up in an English village. There are no mountains like that in England. We immediately recognized them, and I think even the truck shows, that he is somewhere in Central Europe in the mountains of the Alps.
