Bought the marvel premiere off the news stand at 7-11 when I was a kid. Held onto it. Never got a moon knight figure besides the toy biz version since. Like the character a lot 👍 only character I collect multiples of is the predator, droids, skeletor, and zaku's. Spider man, Ultraman and Oh yeah and stormtroopers 😝
Glad to see the One:12 Collective get some shine here! Bar none, the best Moon Knight figure ever made and the white version is the better of the 2 as the fabric allows for more articulation than the black version. Expensive yes, but much more doable if not collecting a bunch of other lines
Loved Darkhawk's look from the first time I saw it, that pushed me to reading his books and then he became and instant fave. That's what youngsters call the power of the drip.
Hey, I know that one Funko Pop! For me, it was Venom. Walked into a local comic shop and saw Lethal Protector #2 and fell in love with the character. Used to have so many Venom figures. Sadly, most have been lost to time...
Hey PixelDan my name is Jason and yes I`ve always liked how The Silver Surfer looked and thought he was really cool looking and I've been a fan of his visual appeal ever since the first time I ever saw him. I love the whole story behind silver surfer now of course but his looked is what hooked me in to start with.
I tried so hard to find that Walgreens Moon Knight Marvel Legends figure but never could. I do love this character for the same reason you do. He's just so cool looking.
Dr. Fate has always been a favorite of my going back to when I was a kid reading old All Star Squadron comics and Keith Griffen's mini series. Always loved the helmet and the blue and yellow suit. Not sure if I have all his action figures but I do have quite a few including the recent One:12 figure
I have a similar hobby with April O'Neil figures, like, I do collect favorite Turtles and Shredder as well but I just got on this kick to collect almost every April, which ended up extending to hilarious Mexican bootlegs and a couple customs, the coolest of which was a Playmates April head put on a Playmates female Star Trek body, making her Officer April of the Enterprise, so, yeah, relatable :)
My guy is Magneto. Gotta have erery version made. But definitely happy to see Moon knight getting his break out. Always been a great underrated character.
Great video Dan! I'm that way with The Punisher. I try to collect as much of his stuff as I can, and I also try to get things like Funko Pops and HeroClix.
The character like that for me is Beta Ray Bill i just think he looks super cool. So far in my BRB collection i have both Marvel Legends, Funko pop, Marvel universe, mini mates & the 30th silver surfer anniversary. Now thx to this video i need to get a hero clicks & the mickey version lol
I'm that way with Green Lantern (especially Hal Jordan), but after early 2000's rebirth, he went from obscure to mainstream and I couldn't keep up with it all.
The only time I got into MK is when Stephen Platt came onto the series as the artist. And later when David Finch was given a new volume. If Marvel ever does Artist Editions like DC Direct used to do I would LOVE to get a MK in the Platt style, It would be crazy and amazing.
I'm enjoying learning more about Moon Knight, I bought the Marvel Legends figure when I saw him at Walgreens because he looked cool, I knew nothing about him. Being much more a DC guy, I'd say that I started liking Firestorm just because of his cool, crazy costume. And characters that I collect multiple toy versions of or pretty much anything of the character would be Superman, Martian Manhunter, Nightwing, Aquaman, Magneto, Raphael, Splinter, MMPR Green Ranger, and Dragonzord. Gotta collect as much stuff as possible for your top characters for sure!

I always loved the Marvel Legends Moon Knight. So many times, I had the chance to get him and never did. Now, he’s going for money than I’m willing to pay.
I've been a huge fan of Moon Knight ever since getting his card in my first pack of Marvel Universe trading cards when I was little. This was before I had ever bought a single Marvel comic. I didn't even know about Spider-Man or the X-Men yet.
As a kid, I really gravitated toward The Falcon… I’m 51, so that means I started out with the original old-school Falcon, done by Mego. By the time the Secret Wars Falcon came out, I was outgrowing toys as *toys* …but now that we have the more modern version of The Falcon enjoying mainstream popularity, I still prefer the old-school costume. I’m expecting my Marvel Legends Retro 3.75” Falcon later this week, and I’m pretty excited! The cardback and figure both look awesome.
Juggernaut has been my favorite comic book character since I discovered him as a kid. I only recently got into collecting though and I have a shelf dedicated only for my love of all things Juggernaut. I have a few of my favorite Juggernaut centric comics and the diamond select Juggernaut, which is my pride and joy, along with the marvel legends baf and collosus 2 pack version... and a funko pop... and a little mini figure....... and a bootleg Juggernaut on the marvel legends hulk style body. Sadly that's it for now although I do have plans to eventually get the toy biz gorilla arm version on card and display it proudly on the wall and maybe the marvel universe 3.75" version. On a side note... the more I look at my collection, I'm starting to realize I also apparently have an affinity for hulk, deadpool, and symbiotes as well... who knew?
I actually (with the exception of the DC World of Warcraft Figures) only collect single characters per collection. So only MMPR Green Ranger, Shredder, Moon Knight, Thanos, Darth Maul, etc. I feel like that lets' me be more completionist especially for the more niche characters.
My first exposure to Moon Knight was in West Coast Avengers issue 30. In the issue, the team was on a planet that was surrounded by moons and he was able to draw on their power and defeat the robot they were fighting. I don't have any Moon Knight figures yet; I hope they're going to release a new version of him in his Mr. Knight form and a new Khonshu would be nice as well.
I remember that issue. I think they were in a different dimension being tested by aliens to determine how powerful Earthlings were. MoonKnight drew on all the moons and overloaded the aliens' test.
…I don’t think that’s how his powers worked, is it? And ML Mr. Knight was just announced for D+ w2 with the other MK. Dan seems to have posted this about same time it was announced? (Infinity Ultron wave w/ Renner + Kate Hawkeyes. Nothing on more What If? figures…yet?)
@@brainlock72 The impression I have of the character is that Khonshu helps Moon Knight draw power from the moon. A single full moon gives him more power than a half moon. A night sky filled with moons would give Moon Knight even more power. It could be that the writer simply contrived that explanation to move the story along and have the West Coast Avengers win in a single issue.
For me it's Batman. But there's SO MUCH Batman stuff, you gotta get pretty choosey otherwise your wallet will be dead within the week. But I have statues, figures, books, art, etc. Favorite fictional character.
Absolutely! I loved the way Moon Knight looked so I started looking for figures, and the first one I ever owned was that 10 inch one. I had a lot of the figures in that line, but have no idea where they all went. I wanted the smaller one, but could never get it. I have most of these that you've shown, but not the Selects version nor the Funkos. There is a new Moon Knight Funko up for preorder on BBTS I saw that looks pretty good, but I much prefer the more detailed and articulated action figures. The Mezco one is by far my favorite with the cloth cape and everything. I wouldn't be surprised if they do a new version based on the new show.
Moon Knight is one of those characters I've always enoyed reading, bt never went out of my way to read. That said, I do have a couple of the newer trades in my "to read" pile As far was characters I liked because they looked cool or that I have a collection of different versions of, the answer is the same for both: Ghost Rider. I wll also buy anything Apocalyse or Thanos (non-MCU).
Character collecting is definitely become the way I do a lot of my collecting especially for superheroes. I'm a big fan of the Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel and do plan to get every figure that comes out of her. As for a hero I like just because of their custom, the closet one for me is String Ray. I saw him in Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 and loved him souly because I didn't know who he was. I also liked Black Knight before I really knew anything about him either.
I collect a lot of things, but I have an emphasis on Juggernaut and Beast figures. Thanks for sharing your Moon Knight collection, Dan! We need to get you a Moon Knight Minimate at some point. :)
Love the Moon Knight action figures. The series on Disney plus is looking good. I saw the first episode & it's confusing at first but fun later on. The action figs of the Moon Knight that I've collected are the first one that was ever made and the Marvel Legends one in black and white suit. The one toy or toyline that I want to collect all the versions of is, of course, He Man and the Masters of the universe. Also, I like The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Mr T & Hulk Hogan. I collect as many action figures as I can of these. 🙏🏼👍
Congratulations, it's a cool collection! I do not remember which was the first character that I liked only for the aesthetics and in which I identified myself, as a kid, also because among the brands I follow there have always been too many discontinuities or questionable parts, which have led me to follow other characters, over time. + Maybe, Han Solo, Link from Zelda, He-Man ... While I've completed a few toy lines, the majority of my modern collecting is single character focused. My two biggest collections by far are The Flash (Barry and Wally only) and Optimus Prime/Primal. Next, with fewer options available, it's Batman Beyond, Mewtwo, and Vegeta. After that the amount of figures available drop off drastically for my collecting of Samus Aran, Link (Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess only), and Spartan Sarah Palmer from Halo.
I am a fan of the character of Iron Man because the fact they took a rich guy and due to injury builds a suit of armor to save his life ,but also because of the 2008 Iron Man movie and the great performance by Robert Downy Jr that it made me more interesting in reading the characters back history and more ,but I don't collect every suit in the marvel legends line ,but I have a bit of a hulkbuster collection going with the Marvel select to even the 3.75 inch figure from Iron man 2 line and some odds and ends. I will say another one would be scarlet spider (Ben O'reilly) every snice I watched the Clone Sega from the Spider man 90's cartoon through reruns in the 2000 on the Disney Channel. There is just something about that bright red with the blue hoodie that gravitated to me a way that enjoyed the character even those people in the Marvel community don't like the Clone Sega. I have the Marvel legends Hasbro figure and the funko pop ext. I will say even those you only talked about male superhero characters with cool costumes in the video. There is a female superhero character that I like which is She- Hulk. I enjoyed her ever snice I saw her on the Incredible Hulk animated series in the 90's through reruns on the Disney channel in the 2000. I enjoy her personality and her attitude and that she a is lawyer fighting for justice for the innocent. I am still waiting for a better Hasbro marvel legends figure with the purple costume. I can't wait for the series on Disney plus this year. I enjoyed the video keep up the great work Pixel Dan.
I don't think I got every figure of a character that I thought was cool, but that Marvel Legends Moon Knight that has black and white than all white I do have and I thought that was cool.
I cherry pick transformers but ANYTHING Hot Rod i pick up. With DC, i have whole lines i get but ill get Redhood in any scale/line that i normally wouldn’t, like imganiex
Toy-Splosion started very well, with research and guests, showing unusual things and it's come to that uninspired, just mildly average topics. I like Dan's style, but this "format" has clearly lost its edge.
