Woah, I caught this one early. I don't know if it's the graphics, the aesthetic, the machines, or all of the above, but watching your Redout 2 gameplay is really relaxing. Oh, the fact that you're also really good at it helps a lot too
Interesting observation, having not actually gotten the chance to play Redout 2 yet- the Boss tracks seem to be a lot more organic compared to Redout 1's. In the sense of, the original just used portals to warp you between the different tracks, whereas here they actually seem to be designed around each other and connected directly, presumably via routes that otherwise wouldn't be available when racing those tracks normally. It's really cool! (The especially interesting part of this to me is the fact that one particular section of this particular track system is reoccurring within the span of a single Boss lap, ending the first time with a right turn and the second with a left turn. It's fascinating!)
It’s an awkward jump to be fair and you saved yourself on the first lap. Great racing. I like playing this game and it’s fun to watch you play one of my favorite tracks.
Once I start watching your videos of redout its like I cant turn my head away or imma miss something. I love how fast the ships and you are pretty good at the game.
5:52 you can actually blast through this section very fast if you boost stack off the first jump and follow the circles VERY flatly, aiming down about halfway through to hit the final ramp on the other side. Brake before the ramp after this jump cuz of the tight turn afterwards. Use SRRL races + rewind ability to practice these jumps. Worth it!
I agree, Neptune was a better space track than Origin black hole I do miss a dense forest track tho, akin to Abruzzo or Sequoia... but also that red planetoid was another great setting that would be nice to have a return... gosh so many good tracks, but yeah these I mentioned are some that would not be redundant I believe
@@GangOfVortex I feel like Moon would be redundant since Genesis is also the same place but a long time after, just like Cairo in both games Europa tho could be considered, although they could state it'd be too similar to Mariana Trench
@@PaulHasyn yep. i think vertex is the strongest world for a comeback. im sure there will be completely new locations but if they bring the old tracks back it would be awesome ^^ ...and a freaking custom musicfolder, but this could make the game so popular that the devs earn too much money, who in the world wants that
@@Joltout i was going through your old videos and noticed that some of the likes, comments, or both from years ago were removed including from your video “Redout volcano boss” which was the first video of yours I watched and first started commenting on.
Must suck for the creators that it's hard to show the game off because of how RU-vid's video compression mangles the footage on the more colorful tracks.
I haven't played a AG racer in a couple of years, I used to play Wipeout, Fast RMX and Grid.. Would you recommend this as an AG racer to come back to or is it to hard for a rusty racer?
It's definitely difficult. But it has some assists for driving you can change around to suit your style, and the AI can be toned down a lot too. Some trophies in career events are extremely difficult for most people regardless of those though, so those might frustrate you more than anything else.
Amazing skills do you have any advice for in air control? The Cloud City races have jumps that make me fly out of bounds. I tried increasing the in air control assist so I don’t land on stuff upside down but now the game sometimes gets confused about which road to prefer for landing on. Any tips would be useful. If there’s a way to control Yaw in mid air manually that would be nice to know too
I think when people rebind controls, yaw sorta deletes itself. Know issue that'll be solved in the next patch. But until then, I just use default controls and normal steering is how yaw normally works. Else, it's all just practice imo
@@Joltout ty for the reply I’ve only had the game 3 days. I can play on Master in some tracks but others I struggle with even Redout difficulty. Love the game and hope online picks up a bit more. I wish there was an option to tone down those speed and time attack challenges though. They can take literally hours to even complete much less win. that said I’m glad the game isn’t a pushover. Keep up the good work though your driving is great to watch
@@Joltout Have you tried binding the ship's sideways roll to pressing down on the left and right analog sticks? It saved me from having to grow an extra pair of index fingers
