I know, me too but the ambient sound was quite poor so adding music was a choise to get away with it :)

SOMEONE Please tell me the facing in the first move AND is it the same as#7 in Won-Hyo. If that is the case the facing is Half facing, Kicking with a HIGH Punch Not a Side fist. Why is this Different then in Won-Hyo? Do we do a side kick and side fist OR is it a side kick With a High punch. In the Book BOTH Say High punch, then WHY do I see Everyone preforming a side fist in Moon-Moo, Could it be the FACING in the 1st move they are doing is wrong?

Matthew Purcell More complex than WTF
@kontritum2861
@kontritum2861 7 лет назад
Matthew Purcell I'm a certified 3rd through wtf and have worked through both itf schools and wtf schools. And I must say itf forms are far more complex and different, with more techniques but far less usable in combat compared to wtf.
@matthewpurcell6943
@matthewpurcell6943 7 лет назад
Xtremex HyprShot Personally I believe that no form is usable in self defence, I also believe that taekwondo is an art, not meant for fighting, I learn self defense, but it's based on hapkido. ITF seems to be more technique oriented, low kicks and such. WTF is meant to be beautiful, flowing, and powerful. Simply my personal take :)
@kontritum2861
@kontritum2861 7 лет назад
Matthew Purcell I've always been taught that every technique in a form should be applied or applicable in self defense. That isn't necessarily to say that you can just use an entire form exactly to defend yourself but parts and pieces should be learned to be applied for self defense.
@matthewpurcell6943
@matthewpurcell6943 7 лет назад
Xtremex HyprShot that makes sense, many of the blocks, like the low opening block in Taebek, or a mountain block in kuemgang, are unusable. If I were in a real fight, I would probably only use low, middle, and maybe high blocks.

It was sped up and looked too fast, and jerky. He needs more flow and hip snap. I probably notice this because I come from WTA not ITF. Search up colton McNeely moon moo for an awesome pattern in WTA style.

You cannot judge a form across organisations. This is an ITF form and this is the way it is meant tk be done. If WTF has adopted it and decided to do it in a different way that is fine but you cannot compare the two.
@theitfguy

Ava Robertson you cant be serious, no comparison to Suska, and second the person you suggested to watch made so many errors in the first 30 seconds I couldn’t even finish watching it LMAO to think you’re serious
@irmasil3

So, am I the only one who notices that he ends 1 whole gonnun sogi behind his initiation spot? Legs are great, technique is great, looks great, but if you are not finishing where you started you don't know the tul. That is a colour belt mistake. So, world champion level has come to this? What would the referees say?
@OlliLeino_sportstuff
@OlliLeino_sportstuff 8 лет назад
+irmasil3 Actually, finishing tul more than one shoulder radius from the initiation spot gives you half a point deduction. Not more than that. www.tkd-itf.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/2015-Appendix-1-Scoring-Procedure-Mar-13.pdf
@irmasil3
@irmasil3 8 лет назад
+Olli Leino Its "within a shoulder radius". He is far from it. Almost 2shoulder radius distance. And Although rules change constantly, I think this was a zeroing some years ago....
@OlliLeino_sportstuff
@OlliLeino_sportstuff 8 лет назад
+irmasil3 As this was informed in an IUC, I believe in 2014 it was, if you begin from the center of a piece of tatami, you should finish on this tatami piece to avoid deduction points.
@irmasil3
@irmasil3 8 лет назад
+Olli Leino Interesting. It's been years since I had anything to do with official tournaments but he finished almost a tatami away. He starts in the middle of the first and ends in the middle of the second. Thats more than 1 gonnun sogi distance away which in my days meant you were getting a fabulous zero as you were allowed only half a shoulders width, almost half a tatami in order to make it ONLY with point deduction....
@OlliLeino_sportstuff
@OlliLeino_sportstuff 8 лет назад
+irmasil3 To be honest, I think getting to the spot should not determine the whole pattern. At least not in competitions as one could win just by fixing their start and end spot exactly, at the same time doing e.g. technically much poorer and less powerful pattern. There are 61 movements to be mastered and getting to the spot is just one thing. Therefore, half a point deductions sounds reasonable. This is my view on this.

The only reason to pivot the standing foot during a kick is to allow maximum hip rotation at the point of impact. To pre-pivot the foot in slow motion is a cheat...Try post-poning the pivot until the last few seconds of the slow motion kick....All time training is training....You can have 100% good training or you can have less....Every time you pivot to early is a weaker side kick and a muscle memory mistake! Trophy or not....your brain wants to know...Is this a real side kick or just a tournament side kick???

@p-acastonguay9042 7 лет назад
tmWasted That's right, but clearly, Suska does not engage his hips in his kicks. His technique is all about the "beauty" and control. He is nothing but a mechanical man. I'm done here

Nice kicks...almost a knife edge...green belt hand techniques...but thank God there are no gymnastic judges cause you loose a 10th of a point for the shaky landings...I would be embarrassed to even do that shit like that...put that fucking hand back in the chamber all th way...or I guess no one cares or notices...

That's very pretty, I'm sure the gymnastics girls at the local YMCA would approve of that. However, no realism and no power. This is NOT the Taekwondo the General left us nor is it every going to last. Do it properly or don't do it at all. Like, seriously, very pretty tho.
