I respect Moon Smart's work, but I can't find a justification for the price of $24,000 USD. How can an Intel RealSense Camera D435i, which costs $334.00, plus an NVIDIA Jetson Nano at $149.00, and some Python libraries, be so expensive?

yes, this tech is cool, however it makes it twice as hard to transport it, as the whole rig is practically indistinguishable from a bazooka, or other rocket launcher, this tech gives it the 'targeting' system!, would DEFINATELY drop the camera!!- if swat asks, DROP IT!!- $100,000 isn't worth dying for.

This is for multi million dollar cinema sets and rigs. Not for your everyday barely not dying from hunger filmmaker friend. 24k aint much for a 20 M dollar movie production , exspecially if you are renting it.

‘You need several components’.. + Software - in short $$$$$ NOT CHEAP & and it’s got limitations - FORGET IT !!!! DJI Ronin 4 D has this already covered.

[ i like the product. but lets keep it 100, professionals are fucking asking for autofocus in the pro production cameras. we should just stop accepting the bull shit upgrade we don't want from these high end camera's brands. no autofocus, then we ain't buying !! ]

@@CARTEBLANCHE_MV my point is, consumer and prosumer autofocus sucks and most people turn it off, unless youre doing doc's or cooking shows. The hunting looks terrible and the speed thresholds suck. this is why lidar is becoming popular but still needing. Ill take a soft miss on a close up any day over a stepper motor clinically tracking every pore.
