@Fred Virtuoso I don't agree. It's an art to prepare a beautiful solo like this. I can see a lot of inspiration on it. I'm pretty sure Matteo can improvise like hell, as I understand preparation of a solo to expose on RU-vid is not a bad thing. You'll need to have a huge talent to play like this...

@Fred Virtuoso I agree with you. But I believe Matteo will be beyond that cliché (the technical thing) in a few years. For todays guitarist is much, much harder to find his unique voice. Even 30 years ago was hard. Nowadays, almost everything is done...

Idk of a guitarist with better technique if we’re gonna be completely honest? He could play with Gambale, Lane, Holdsworth etc. This cat is simply mind blowing & will navigate changes with authority in the future. Simply Incredible!

I don't think matteo would like the conversation of best technical guitarists but let me just say there are lots of modern guys alongside matteo like ben eunson, joshua meader, stephen taranto etc. who are really pushing the musical and technical limits of guitar on jazz, jazz fusion and metal right now and that's not getting into genres which are really heavily about the skill like technical deathmetal.

@@Isaiah_McIntosh yeah honestly matteos technique isn’t what’s so astonishing, it’s what he’s playing. His improvisation has so many genuinely beautiful lines at blazing speed, I’ve never heard a guitar play such intricacy at that speed besides holdsworth. Also his tone is so beautiful.

@Uncle Remus well, it seems like the debate on guitar technique is so frowned upon around here. However, I have to agree with you, Matteo´s technique is a game changer, it will set a milestone in the history of guitar, just like Django Reinhardt or Paco de Lucia did, with both technical and musical breakthoughs

A lot of Matteo's videos are very short. I know he packs in so much that even in a few seconds he re-writes the guitar spectacularly; but I'd still like a bit more! As well as all the incredible aspects of this genius' talent, his playing has that rare quality - heroism.
