In case you didn't get the chance to research it, or in case you didn't know, some real-life facts that provide context: From what I understand, schools in Japan start their school year in April, but the student council seems to have its elections somewhere in the September-October range, can't fully remember when. Been a while since I looked at that. Also, the secret upstairs room in the student council room? That's referring to a time period when there were lots of protests by university students, often politically left-leaning; the inclusion of the room is probably referring broadly to societal struggles in Japan, but fully dissecting its purpose is probably for a video essay, not a RU-vid comment.
