From the Can album: Future Days (1973)
A drum cover of a song by the experimental avant-garde krautrock band CAN. The only track of the record quite short in lenght, barely three minutes, it is also the only one that drifts away from the improvisational, psychedelic and ambient mood of the album. Drumming-wise, aside from the funny solo section consisting only of percussives and assorted sounds, the remarkable thing in "Moonshake" is the steadiness of the beat that drummer Jaki Liebezeit lays down: a simple two and four to which he adds a bass drum pattern that changes from section to section adding or subtracting 8th notes, providing a driving pulse that pushes the song forward.
