Beautiful, relaxing video. I’ve tripped in this area of the park twice now and it’s fun to see familiar places as well as some new ones. Thanks for bringing me back!
Great video... I know how much effort goes into making these. I also started keeping a trip diary and find it very useful when looking back. Also a great way to spend time in camp after dinner.
Thank you! It is a lot of effort but it's very rewarding, I'm finding. And of course if anyone likes it I very much appreciate it. Trip diary has been useful for me.
Another enjoyable video. You never mentioned it, but on most of your long shots you could see the smoky haze from the fires in northern Quebec. I was north (Wendigo) of you during the solstice and it smelled like a giant campfire. The sunsets however were surreal.
Loved the video and seeing a new corner of Algonquin! Ha ha ... the "Gugger" family is probably highly insulted. It sure is an original name .... at least it's not another Trout Lake, or Rocky Lake, or Sandy Lake, etc.
Stupendous! I'm assuming you were single portaging which makes a world of difference and lets you cover a ton of territory. I've done some Temagami in the past and I'm heading back out in mid-September to explore it more.
Yes, on this trip I was single portaging, which I can do for shorter solo trips, otherwise my day with almost 7K of portage would have been way too much (was still too much, haha)! Temagami is a beautiful place to explore 👍
Absolutely stoked that you're tuning in from that far away! Thanks! And I feel it's my obligation to not confuse you... others pointed out that it was actually a bull moose without this season's antler growth, not a cow. My bad!
Chris, Dude…..just watched it. Great video man - love what you’re making. That moose encounter was amazing to watch. I also very much appreciated when you showed the map and outlined your route - perfect for those of us planning trips. I was out at the same time, a quick two day trip into Ragged. Didn’t see nearly as much wildlife but it was incredible nonetheless. Have a five day into the east end of the park at the very beginning of August, then an eight day up inTemagami a week later - all with my 9 & 14 yr old daughters. Cannot wait. Looking forward to your next video! And you only said Jebus once this time!😂. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, man! Yeah, it was lucky encounters for wildlife, to be sure. They don't always work out that way, haha. Your two upcoming trips sound pretty great, where in Temagami are you headed?
Doing the Temagami Diamond Wakimika Obabika Loop. It’s our/my first trip up there so this will be a scouting mission. Would love to knock out the same route you did last year - that epic is on my bucket list for sure. Going to shoot to do that in September 2024.
@@ruettigerschnapps4716 That route is a great introduction to Temagami and a classic for good reason. Just keep an eye on the weather since those are bigger lakes that can whip up fast. Beautiful place to take the kids.
