Hey Bill that was some really good footage of the moose in CT thanks for sharing !! I was out hunting turkey in the spring of 2020 with a friend of mine , we were hunting the eastern part of CT on public land in Stafford , I was just setting out my decoy when I heard something out in front of me , no sooner did I look over and there was a large cow moose walking right towards me, it came with in 10-12 yards stopped looked at me , and I could see that she had glossy eyes probably cataracts in both eyes, finally I waved both hands at her and she like jumped back and stopped then just kept on going away from me . For me that was a great encounter which I'll never forget , like you said most people don't even know there are moose in our state , I've also encountered some black bears hunting up in west Granby CT , along with many coyotes , bobcats ,fishers and of course the white tails I'm hunting for, we surely have quite few critters running the wilds of the Nutmeg !
