When visiting Moosehead Lake, you have to venture out in search of Moose, right?
We visited Moosehead Lake in Oct. 2020, and we ventured out on the logging roads in search of a Moose Sighting.

I've lived in Maine all my life, and it's been my experience that the only time you see moose, is when you're not even looking for them.!

Sorry you didn't see any moose. Those ponds and the lake are prime moose habitat. The warmer summer months, especially at dawn and dusk are the best times to catch moose near or in the water. Late September and early October are the peak rutting times for moose here in New Brunswick. It is easier to catch them moving around then. Keep looking! Wanna see how "intelligent" moose are? We have lived in New Hampshire for over thirty years, and have only spotted moose twice. Both times crossing the roads. We need to up our game for sure, so maybe do more spotting in the summer as you suggest. I saw your videos. Funny that they smell the batteries.

Enjoyed your video. I've seen some beavers lodges too, but never any beavers. Hope you get to see moose some day. I saw them in Alaska and Glacier National Park.

Thanks. We have lived in New Hampshire for over30 years and the only Moose I have seen are a couple crossing the highway. We are still hoping to see one in the woods some day.
