MOP Remix Overview and Thoughts

I'm really enjoying this. I think Blizz should do this at the end of each expansion for a few reasons 1. It allows people to make a wide variety of alts and try out classes/roles they never did before 2. it allows people to revist prior content get transmogs, mounts, reps, seeing raids they may have missed, story, quests etc 3. It allows people to get characters ready for the next expansion. I would love for them to do this with other prior expansions.

I think Blizzard definitely marketed Remix the wrong way, I saw it as a quick way to level up an alt or in my case erasing a character and doing a race change for the same class. I also didnt care much for leveling up my gear and rather I played for the mounts and transmog. If you played the first couple days of release the dungeons were still quick but definitely slower. now I can do all three dailies in 30 min or less. and certain dungeons can be cleared in 3 min (unless it Siege which has a lot of RP). I love MoP as an expansion, the stroy, the lore, the culture of Pandaria was and is amazing to explore, and have enjoyed going back and experiencing it. Valley of the Four Winds is so simple yet so beautiful of a zone and has a fun zone story. Another good thing about Remix though is that I have been able to explore classes I have never played 19 years into this game and see what I like. I found that I really enjoy Demon Hunter and Warrior, two classes I actively avoided, I finally leveled a warlock for the first time and can say that I do not enjoy Warlock and I though I may want to heal for TWW and leveled a Priest, healing has become boring and tanking is definitely my new role. The only sad thing is that my retail main is already a Male Pandaren Monk and don't really want to level another one to experience MoP as a monk. But through leveling all these new characters it has helped me decide that I'm going to stick with my BM Monk as my main through this next trilogy of xpacs. So overall, I have loved this experience of MoP Remix and hope that maybe we can get a TBC Remix at some point.

It's so funny they released this after I spent a month getting all the available heritage armor. My account is nearly maxed with these Remix characters or level 50s (I get sentimental and it's hard to delete). One thing you mentioned is about using this to fast level and max alts. I'm curious about is what happens after remix ends. I have a bunch of new 70s now, but I don't know how they'll handle gear once our characters make the swap to live. I'm also really glad they increased the gains from bronze because before that, I also only went for mounts and transmog. I wish I was recording when I first played to show a difference from raiding day one against current as well as how hard it was to survive with no trinkets, rings, necklaces, etc. Fresh 70 is still a pain, but I remember being three-shot by mobs on my monk as a fresh 70. I'm glad you've figured out what you like. I haven't tried DH, yet, but that's my next class I'm doing. And dang, I was thinking about it, you're right. A TBC remix would go hard!
