👍 Good review. I really like reviews of knives that actually show the knife in use rather than just blah, blah, blah. I enjoyed your video, thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I used to live in a pretty remote place where my full sized Garberg made perfect sense to have on my belt all the time, I live in a much more urban type place now but still prefer a fixed blade knife. Like you I've been sitting on the Eldris for a while and finally decided to buy one a couple weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised by how much work this little knife can do. It covers most of my daily knife tasks without a problem.
Love my. Most used knife I have. I did purchase a Nite-Ize flashlight holder for mine. Very pleased with it. I seen that holder on another video. Great mod. Fantastic video. Cheers from Newfoundland, Canada!
I enjoy it for regular carry here in Michigan, its all i typically need for regular day to day tasks. It’s tough, razor sharp, easy to resharpen and isn’t going scare anyone. If I am out camping or just wandering in the woods i will sometimes carry a larger blade and my hatchet aswell 😁 i like it so much i got the newer light duty variation aswell! Thanks for the Great review!
Thr crkt minimalist bowie is one of my favorites I have been looking into one of the Mora Eldris knives The ergonomics are probably the winning deal with this one and easy to clean 👌🏾
I carry this on my belt every day and it replaced my pocket Spyderco folder I like it that much. Really comfortable to actual use for hours without the hand fatigue of flat scaled or skeleton knives.
@@TangoGulf Yes, just the stock belt loop. It is possible to draw one handed but, it would be easier with a standard leather sheath. Only ones I could find were twice the cost of the knife.
I got an orange kansbol and had the exact same observations about the Eldris that you did. Suddenly the combo grind and drop point on the eldris made sense, even at 3/4 the price of a kansbol.
Nice review great presentation, question where did you order the knife and sheath attachment. Thank you for taking the time to make this review, the timing was great because I was looking for a review on Mora Eldris in the same color.
Nice video. They should have put out the the light duty first and let the consumer decide. I got the regular Eldris and think I would have preferred the light duty.
In the mid 1980's, trucks sold in the USA often did not come with a back bumper or a spare tire. Or a radio or an antenna, or AC, and had plastic flooring instead of carpet. It was to give the buyer "affordable options" and keep prices down. Marketing I guess, not a communist plot.
Hey JP, how about the 70's, I bought a Jeep CJ-5 in in 1974 for $5591.40 out the door I forget the base price (maybe $3500) but the onlyest thing that came with was the heater and drivers seat , everything else was extra Like am fm radio, passenger seat and back seat, the canvas convertible top and doors, and spare tire, oh yes the screw jack was included. No floor mats were included.
You can argue that the accessories kit for this knife is way overpriced, but not including a belt loop doesn’t prevent this knife from being “usable.” You could make it a neck knife with less than a meter of paracord or just keep it in your pocket/bag. It’s a cool idea to keep it on your belt though 👌
Are the eldris and kansbol belt loop interchangeable? I have an eldris light and wanted to buy a loop. But for 15 more I can get the kansbol and it’s belt loop if that’s the case..
Haha. I work full time for a charity. Not everyone in this life is out to get rich. Yes, I have to be careful with how much I spend on guns, knives, ammo, and the many things you see on this channel. When I'm dead, I can't take any of them with me.
