Moral Story For Kids in English | The Crow And The Peacock | Animal & Jungle Story
One day Gugu arrived on Earth in a UFO and landed amidst a forest.
gugu looked at all the birds of the forest and wanted to be clothed colorfully like one of them.
So it walked up to a grasshopper and asked what should be done to look as colorful as any of them.
The grasshopper tried telling Gugu that one should never lose their originality but Gugu would just not listen.
Thus the grasshopper told a story to Gugu to help it understand.
Deep in the woods lived a crow that was jet black in color. His name was Kaaki.
He hated the color of his feathers every time he looked at himself in the mirror.
It deeply disturbed him that he had black feathers.
With a longing to have had colorful feathers, he glared at the sky and asked God why He had to make him black of all the birds that there were.
Kaaki tried all possible makeup that he could find to make him look more handsome but nothing seemed to help.
One day, when he was walking across the woods, he came across some colorful peacock feathers lying on the ground.
He was so excited on seeing such colorful feathers that he stooped down to have a closer look. As he wanted to have them all for himself, he looked around to ensure no one was watching him. When he was sure that no one was watching him, he gently stooped down and picked up the feathers one by one.
He placed them on himself and thought they made him look good.
He went on to meet the peacocks that lived in the same forest.
he introduced himself as a peacock a neighboring country and asked them if he could join them
They laughed at him and told him that sticking peacock feathers would not make him become a peacock and that he may want to be careful or else the stuck feathers may even fall off.
Kaaki felt terribly insulted and decided to go join his group of crow friends.
His crow friends had already heard about all that Kaaki had done and what it had resulted in.
They were rather angry with his behavior and did not want to accept him back.
The older crow told Kaaki that they do not want to be friends with him as he was ashamed of being a crow and had gone to join peacocks.
The other crows also shooed him away and Kaaki felt terribly miserable.
He sobbed bitterly and regretted his mistake with all his heart.
On hearing this story, Gugu understood that it is better to be an original than a bad copy.
