I always thought it was too but when I learned the song years ago I found the hammers to not sound correct so watched closely on some live video and problem solved lol!
Just set up your guitar for larger gauge strings dude..... Your bottom would need to be at least 56 58 would be better.... 60 for the best.... What you CAN do is buy a 7 string set with one of the bottom gauges I mentioned and take the smallest wound string (the D string) OUT.... Lots of bands are playing 7 type stuff on 6s.... Cannibal Corpse does all their stuff they used to do on 7s on 6s now....
The tuning is not B flat, rather so that it is A# but just a fraction of a step down. With a A# standard tuned it sounds out of tune if you play along to Covenant album.

NO SHIT..... I checked this out out of morbid interest because instructional videos tend to suck and this was no exception.... I've learned this song and skipping around (I couldn't bear to watch it all) every part I saw I was like "the fuck is that?" ....
YES this one always was hard for me, being able to see what your hands are doing is super helpful. ANy plans to do "ONE BY ONE" by immortal? or maybe the solo from conquer all by behemoth lol
