Can't believe David Vincent isn't in Morbid Angel anymore, he's definitely my favorite vocalist from this band. I think it's the unique voice, rare to hear a death metal singer who is so audible with the lyrics and also melodic.

@@momomono795 nah I can understand Pete Sandoval. But Dave hardly contributed. Other than some lyrics and Lions Den. Every guitarist they've had contributed more than Dave. Dave is more charismatic but Steve is better
@@slicecuts21 Nah, Dave is tons better than Steve. Steve has boring, typical, death metal vocals. Dave still has some of the best vocals in Death Metal. And Dave contributed a lot more than you give him credit for. Trey did the riffs, but you can tell Dave did came up with the melody parts to go with the lyrics. Morbid's music is still technically amazing without Dave, but the songs completely lack any catchiness to them. Dave made those songs memorable. I find Steve's album's unmemorable. Dave's new band Vltimas is better than the last Morbid Angel album. Even a guy who loves Formulas Fatal to the Flesh told me it was forgettable.
Most brilliant live footage I've seen in a while, flawless mix. Absolutely Loved that snare echo, a lot more bands should do that....Theatrics is such a big part of music....that live atmosphere and dynamic needs to make a come back.
I'm so fucking bummed I'll never see this performed live. When I was in 8th grade way back when this song defined how I wanted to play drums. That level of double pedal, the rhythm, the vocals, man this song has so much nostalgia attached to it.
Yeah me too... now the current lineup is not worth to interested. They're like regular one of the thousands death metal bands... nothing special and excited. I don't feel anything about them. Poor Trey...
@@molochz and Morbid Angel hasn't released a decent album since the late 90's. Like Metallica the newer, awful material doesn't completely negate the earlier work that was imapctful.
Scorched Earth Tony Norman has been the only one who was been in the same tone and level of Erik Rutan, anyways Erik Rutan is a great guitar player, his tone is so fucking bad ass and his soling is melodic and organized but at the same time brutal. This guitar player of this lineup of Morbid, he is lower level, just check how he plays his part of his solos of other songs, he doesnt do it, he just plays with the wammy bar. The second guitar player in his solos in Morbid Angel was always the melodic guy, Trey is the chaos tapping wah wah wammy bar madness but Erik was the melodic organized soling guy.
Seen them live on the Covenant tour and again when this album got released. At that time no one could touch top them. The mix on this show is awesome! How the greats have fallen since...
It does my head in nowadays when I go to see one of the classic death metal bands from the late 80s early 90s, basically as long as they have two original members in the band they use the name it crap I'd prefer them to use the band name but actually say featuring Such and such on the guitars, or with our new guitarist and drummer.
Dream on. Google aborted, suffocation, cannibal corpse, obituary,... THAT'S how a death metalband looks and sounds like. This looks like, an american showband like kiss.
Good lead !! Especially for a death metal band . Most are just fast with no phrasing or feeling ! Reminds more along the lines of good thrash band leads , they make sense .
