For everyone: This was a show in a small local Stockholm metal club. To all our surprise and joy this show was announced a few months ago. Your eyes are not decieving you that is Pelles brother on vocals and his other brother was holding the torch as they brought in The coffin. Original band members as well as Erik vocalist of Watain om Drums, legendary show. True metal in Pelles home town!!!!
I have seen many concerts with an audience that sings all lyrics, but only a few concerts with an audience that sings Everything, every note, every melody every breath! amazing show, amazing everything, fucking hell, thanks so much for recording this historical event!
Great to see that happening, im a fan of old mayhem and morbid, great tribute to pelle!! HAIL necrobird!! He did really great job!! Hails from finland!!
EPIC! And of course he's wearing a Mayhem t shirt. They should have played freezing Moon as well.. But no biggie Would have loved a professional release of this. Too bad there are no live videos of the original lineup with Pelle.
A couple things: 1). This is just amazing to see after all these years, with a good portion of the original lineup! Daniel does a great job here. 2). I had the honor of seeing you and Erik at Beyond The Gates back in August in Grieghallen. Legendary. 3). Are there any plans for future performances or activity from the band at this time?
@@sam.n7762 And Anders? Maybe they hade different fathers? I always thought that Anders Ohlin is the only one. After 30 years I got this news... I never saw his brother Daniel before...:-((
@@siegfriedwashburn3484Per had two brothers and a sister,(i think Dead was the oldest) and a half brother i believe. I read that a little while ago so don’t take it as verbatim 😅
@@groovywitch1955 The problem is that Pelle was not so much interesting for his parents. But anyway, no one can replace Dead. This guy was the main person in metal. I am Attila's friend, so I can't judge him, he is just different. The question is if Dead was staying alive, I don't know, if Mayhem was exist. My favourite band with amazing people! For me they are my friends. At least Teloch who made a lot for me in the hard times.
@@siegfriedwashburn3484 That’s so cool that you know them! And I agree I think that had Per not committed suicide and Øystein had not been murdered,Mayhem would be less popular/infamous and BM in general would still be a bit more underground thing. May i ask how did you get to meet them?
I heard this awesome show happened just few days ago during a conference at Cosmic Void Festival @ London. You lucky swedish bast4rds ! Incredible video, thanks for that.
That's gotta be one of the longest live intros ever. And the dude looks like Marilyn Manson. And yet, once it all finally starts it is immensely satisfying. Hope they keep going and play here in Germany!!
Hey, Morbid, I just want to say that the whole Elisa thing was BS, you seem like a great person and I love your artistic ideas, I love Metal and when I heard your interview, about how the people, especially the Americans treated you and you lost your desire to write music,I am very happy to see that you continued your dream and found that spark and wrote again, I am an American citizen living in Tijuana and I love the Mexican culture,my wife is from Mexico and she is the best person I have ever met, I wanted to say,how sorry I am on behalf of the Americans,we are not all like that and I am ashamed to be born in the USA,peace and love, brother
OK, beautiful idea, tribute for one of the most original Heavy Metal vocalists ever (among Tim Baker, Quorthon, Dickinson, Gezol etc) and band is sounding like it was on the original December Moon demo. Thats fine. Personally I just don't get what is this all hype around early 90's Black/Death metal about. Hollywood movies, restaurants, museums. Maybe for the younger people it is cool and the older ones are becoming wimpy, you know, soft and acceptable, also you have to eat something. The reality is still, if you bring those og dudes from the early 90's to this day. The large part of society won't accept them anymore. Maybe 20 years ago, yes, now, no. They were too radical and hard core in what they believe. They actually had their own opinions of things.
