Today's Mordhau gameplay video features the Peasant Perk using the Rusty Fork, aka the Pitchfork weapon. While there is technically a pitchfork weapon in the game (it's just more of a wooden partisan) the Rusty Fork is what most people think of when you say "Pitchfork".
If you're wondering where to get peasant weapons in Mordhau, pick the Peasant perk when you're building your character and that will unlock all the peasant weapons for that build.
In Mordhau, the Rusty Fork is clearly a good weapon to stab with. It's a wooden pole with metal spikes facing forward, afterall. It's a poor man's Partisan, basically.
Let's compare the Rusty Fork vs the Partisan in Mordhau:
The Rusty Fork is actually a little bit (3cm) longer than the Partisan and the two weapons do almost the same slash damage as each other, with the Partisan having the slight advantage.
For stab damage, the Partisan is the clear winner, dealing up to 45 more damage than the Rusty Fork. The Partisan is notably faster than the Rusty Fork in every category except Comboing stabs, in which the Rusty Fork has a 25ms advantage in stabbing, and Windup slashes, in which the Rusty Fork has another 25ms advantage.
Clearly, the Partisan is the stronger weapon, but, with the popularity of low-armor builds...the Rusty Fork isn't exactly a bad choice, seeing as how it can stab two-shot level 0 and level 1 chest armor.
You can pick up Mordhau on Steam. Coming soon to consoles. store.steampow...
