Finished watching this video this morning. What a fantastic warband you have built and love the paint job. Also the Owl & Weasel history lesson, which to be honest, I was completely unaware of.
I think you've done a fantastic job on those. The acolytes are great I like the flowing robes and the headpieces. I'm planning on making a mordheim warband and hopefully finding people interested in playing that and the old world. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on ebay so just waiting to see if/when the launch of old world comes certain prices come down.
Thank you. I think prices will, with so many of the plastic kits coming back, sprues and spares will come down in price to normal levels, should be much more affordable. 🤞
Thank you for another great tutorial, as an ageing painter I had ignored the various speed paints as a bit of a gimmick but after watching your various vids I have been given them a go, particularly as I knew I had a big Tomb King project coming up and I’m now converted.
I was the same at Temne start, I knew they would have some uses, but didn’t expect to use them much myself. Started with the browns, and it just grew from there.
Getting them to the table is job one with Mordheim. Then you are flexible to add onto the warband. I've been working on getting back into Mordheim, myself. working on buildings, and some base Skaven and Freebooters, as well as on the hunt for a Witch Hunters warband. What an awesome job!
Fantastic job on this Mordheim band. The standout to me is the acolytes which look super cool with their flowing robes. With a modified conversion they would become very nice looking grave guard for VC. Whilst it would be nice for GW to release Mordheim again at least there is already a wealth of material already released to cover off many weird and wonderful bands. On the assumption that you have played both Warcry and Mordheim which one would you think is the “better” game. Personally I haven’t played Warcry though some of the bands they have look pretty cool
Thank you 🙂. I hadn’t thought about using those Acolytes as Grave Guard, you’re spot on, using those bodies with more bits from the ‘Wet Dead’ ranges would work perfectly. I think they would do an amazing job if they ever brought Mordheim back, based on what they’ve done with Necromunda (as well as the other SDS games) I think they’d nail it. Though I agree, there’s so much great resource out there, the game is surviving very well on its own, and I’m sure many would rather it was left alone. One thing a return would bring is a larger community through visibility. I’ve picked up some Warcry, it’s a future small project, mostly something to play on the kitchen table with my son, but maybe also for some easy pick up games here and there.
@@MiniatureRealms also too I was thinking with slightly different modifications they would make excellent wraiths as well. Some of the original metal wraiths looked a bit similar when they had the cowl downwards. I’m expecting the next big reveal to be tomb kings which should be rather exciting given what they have achieved so far for Bretonnians. Tomb Kings in contrast haven’t received anywhere near as much love and attention so it should be pretty amazing seeing their line up.
@Svengar Yep I’ll be really surprised if we don’t see a similar real for the TK as we did for the Brets, something I’m looking forward to waking up to UK time on Sat morning (if I’ve got my times correct).
@@MiniatureRealms that sounds about right. I’m sure my time slot will be early afternoon at 1pm. Your session will be very early or late depending on how you consider 3am. Excited to see what they have to show us….good times 😀
