I don't always comment here, I just have to mention how refreshing it is to the soul to come to a chainsaw channel free of drama and full of positivity and mentions of others with the same qualities. Donny Walker is pure gold. I have done business with BeeRay farms. Their products and service are outstanding. You got a good tribe Tinman. Coincidence? I think not.
I’ve been gone for a bit but I’m finally back and definitely been enjoying your new videos and getting ready to launch my channel. So happy for you and your family completion! Also thanks for no drama and cleaner language.
Hey Tinman! Thanks for helping me out with my questions at the end of your previous vid! 😘 The 372 is back in business with new rings. Root cause was my poor chamfering.
Hi tinman, I found scrounging through some old forums online for my 268 which had a hard time restarting after hot and it was the spark plug. My gap was at .030" cold, so when hot it was probably even bigger, I set it back to .020" and my problem was fixed. Your plug was probably the culprit for that hot start issue, I know I overlooked it for a long time. Awesome running saw! Take care and take it easy.
I like the Tsumura bars, nice and light. My experience with the warble sound your hearing is an exhaust that is a little to open for the displacement of the saw. Maybe try a 52mm big bore in a future build with the same pipe.
Lol, I'd just like to get that darn 272xp saw running 😂. It's a puzzle. That 371xp of yours us a gem. I can only wish my saws worrble like that one. 😂😂😂 TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
@@frankz1125 I've built two now. Love this saw and my 268xp. My 55's have had top end rebuilds. My first 272xp went off without a hitch, starts, runs and cuts like crazy. The second 272xp I built (all new) crank, bearings, seals, top end, carb, muffler, clutch, mag, av mounts, starter switch, coil, recoil, chain break, fuel line and filter and all the rubber bits, all new. Timed out at 148 intake duration, 104 exhaust, 23° blow down and it just fires and dies after about ten pulls. Changed entire top end to a 50mm bore with different (All OEM) carb, manifold and gaskets, even change the crank seals, suspecting I might have prolapsed one. No change fires and blah dies instantly. Very frustrating, checked carb settings, played with them, rich to lean, high and low, nothing. Tons of spark, nice and blue, fuel is pumping up, good compression. I'm thinking the new crank and/or mag maybe out of phase and it's not firing in sequence. Never had an issue like this before. It's a puzzle. Pressure tested carb and crank. Holds pressure with no loss. On the bright side I'm getting a workout pulling on it...Iol. Almost ready to either shelf it or order new NWP crank and break it down again. I just can think of anything else. Maybe to short on the intake duration at 148°. Maybe I'll lower it and bring it up to around 154°. But it should start, I think at 148°, maybe not. The game continues.
I was crazy impressed with those Tsumura bar’s and I’m going to have a very hard time spending the additional coin on the Sugi bar in the future… my Tsumura might have been 1/2 as much cash and it’s running right with the Sugihara on it’s quality of construction and durability tip!!! I’m a massive fan now!!! This is such a fun build because I’ve never been as brave as you were!!! LMFFAO!!! Be super fun with the 20” bar and just blasting the smaller diameter stuff!!! Love the way your exhaust pipe sounds!!!
Sometimes we gotta take a step outside of our comfort zone. That one turned out great! Look forward to your opinion of archer chain. I've heard both, people that love it and that avoid it.
Man...Ive got a few Huskies, Solo's, Dollies, Stihls, Echo's and Makita's and the ONLY saws I can get to start cold on one pull is a 23cc Japanese top handle under the Makita brand. The rest take a few to 'pop' and a few more to kick off in fast idle. I'd love a one pull worksaw when cold. Obviously they all restart warm with one pull.
Hey man I’m building a 266xp and I cut out the skirt underneath the transfers. I’m thinking of putting a 268 open port piston in it I think it will feed the transfers better. Have u ever done that.
I always comment because it shows that I have interest in the channel! Analytics count towards the tiny bit that goes towards payment to the creator to continue filming this work. Hit the button, it’s FREE!😊😊😊
Right on buddy! It’s just a fantastic little way to give these guys who are doing a bunch of work to put these fantastic videos together a little salute and a wave and it’s definitely going towards letting those RU-vid suits know that we love some TinBasher videos!!! 😂😂😂💪👍😁
