If only I had a garage for my shop. I have 4 3D printers, a small DIY lathe and now my Milo V1.5 Mini Mill, in my tiny 10ft x 10ft office.... 📦

Since 'stumbling' across your channel a few months ago, I now look forward each week to see what your doing this week. I like the fact that you choose projects that would also appeal to a lot of us out here. Thanks for all the good work and ideas.

I just wanted to say I found your channel about two weeks ago and this is why I like 3d printing... Solving everyday issues. I prefer seeing people make things than just printing tchotchkes

Congrats on the channel growth! Like I said before, functional prints are my favorite kinds of prints. I'll post my entry in the subreddit soon; it's a simple holder for my oxo kitchen scale.

Congrats on 15k subscribers. I think your content is excellent and the length of the videos are perfect as you provide your thought process along the way. I won’t be entering the contest since I am not on Reddit and have no plans to be but good luck to all of those who enter.

Love this channel; new to 3D printing and while many of your projects are above my skill level it does give me something to aim for and I learn a lot along the way. Have the deburring tool but really dig the mini heat gun! Thanks!

I should get one of those deburing tools. A friend of mine had one and yes, it was amazing to use. As for releasing stress in parts, I flash it with a mini blow torch. That works really well. I think that's because it's easy to control, rather then the temperature per say.

I made a few boxes like this for a couple of my drawers. When I realized I wanted to divide a section down I modled and printed an insert (bottom 1mm and the desires dividers) that could slide into the already printed box.

The drawer layout works well & gives you room for expansion. The great thing about 3D printing is if you don't like it or it doesn't fit, you can change it & print out the changes.

I'm 69 and a total newbie to 3D Printing and 3D Design. As an old fart, I'm less interested in printing toys, and more interested in creating / fixing functional things, so this channel is right on target. I believe you will get many more folks coming to this channel, over time, because your content and approach to solving challenges fits right into our interest. I've just done my first 2 functional part designs in Alibre, after flunking out in FreeCAD, as it was totally illogical to me (I almost gave up). My motivation to finally jump into this was to fix something that was broken, which consisted of having to create 1 simple and 1 complex (to me) part. I struggled a bit with both 3D Design and Printing, but finally made some useable parts, and now I'm hooked. P.S. I'm not looking to win any prizes, so please don't consider me for that. I just wanted to express my appreciation for your channel and the motivation you provided to me to actually do something to solve a challenge instead of just thinking about it ( If I had a nickel for every hour I've spent thinking about things, I'd own Twitter (X?)).

You can buy left-handed deburing blades to fit the noga deburing tool. This can allow you to debur away from you if you really want to, though i personally dont believe it is necessary

Congratulations on 15k subscribers, well deserved, you have an easy to listen to presenting style. I have noticed in your videos there is no mention of materials used (for costing etc.) I think that might be useful. Also could the deburring tool be used left handed? lefties always seem to have to adapt to use equipment that is not designed for the ambidextrous among us. Having said that I would give my right arm to be ambidextrous ;-)

Two things, why not rotate your long cubby 90deg? It looks like it fits fine. Second when I was faced with the same problem I realized that I could have a much lower wall between my items than I originally thought while still keeping them pretty far from touching, then those back spaces are still accessible

@FunctionalPrintFriday - You mention replacing the rear trays later, and for most of your videos, you have multiple iterations. I'm really interested in whether you just throw away your prototypes and temporary designs, or if you try to recycle them in some way.

I found your site a few weeks ago and look forward to your weekly video. I to am not interested in the toys and knick knacks. I prefer to solve issues and fix broken objects with 3D printing and designing. While your videos are longer than most I appreciate your thoughts as to what your doing and why your doing it. Keep doing what your doing, your inspiring us all to look around us and visualize what we can improve upon not just fix.
