Eccentric little old ladies can be so endearing. After Aunt Clara passed away, we had to do without for a few years until The Waltons, and the sweet Baldwin sisters. Brewing up bootleg whiskey from Papa’s recipe, and offering some to everyone! Completely oblivious to the felonious criminality of their brew.
Who could NOT love Aunt Clara? She had the kindest, biggest heart of anyone on Bewitched, including Samantha. She made everyone feel loved, even when they weren't kind to her! Even Maurice, who could get angry with anyone, NEVER got angry with aunt Clara!
BEWITCHED was one of the first TV shows that talked about the effects of age on people. Sam loved her aunt and wouldn't let anyone disrespect her. A perfect example is SAMANTHA MEETS THE FOLKS.

You left out the BEST part! At 4:20 when Clara kicks the closet door and then does her little Scottish jig, Darrin’s client has the next line. He says to everyone “I bet SHE knows where the liquor cabinet is.” So funny!
The caliber of talent lavished on a TV sitcom was amazing. They managed to leverage big time veterans like Agnes Moorehead and Marion Lorne and instead of just phoning it in they gave it their all. You could tell everyone adored Marion. She even got a smile out of Endora here and there.
Aunt Clara was/is my favorite of Samantha's family, she was so sweet & acted more like a Grandma the way she always wanted the best for Samantha & Darrin. She really was a terrific actress.
I loved Aunt Clara ❤❤ She really did collect doorknobs! 😄 She brought them from home onto the set every time she was going to polish them. Her boyfriend Auggie & she made a sweet/cute couple 💑
My mom was sometimes referred to as Aunt Clara by friends as she also collected doorknobs, but mostly old glass ones. There's not a brass knob in my house--all glass from Mom's collection.
According to Elizabeth Montgomery on a tv talk show interview (Phil Donahue, I think it was), she said that Marion Lorne was exactly like Aunt Clara in real life, just not QUITE as ditzy, but close.

I love Aunt Clara character she reminds me of my grandmother and she was kind and sweet to everyone in my family and especially me and when I was little girl always went to her with my problems and my grandmother solve it
I'm sorry that the scene of Aunt Clara kicking the door with Ochie ended before the client who was asking for brandy said after seeing Aunt Clara's "something she learned in Scotland": "I'll bet she knows where the brandy is!"
There is one time when Darrin was walking in from the kitchen and Aunt Clara was casting a spell, and pointing in his direction. He yelled, don't point at me. 😀 I forgot what episode that was.
Aunt Clara was my fave character on Bewitched. I think her spells would go wrong, because she didn't set her intent with strong enough concentration and she would end up with a close, but no Cigar-o result. 🤘
I can't help but feel sorry for Mrs. Kravitz; even if she is a busybody, this kind of thing would send (and keep) the poor woman in psychotherapy. Not fair to her at all.
I like when aunt Clara was put on trial for not being able to practice witchcraft & samantha used her powers to help Clara when she tried to use her magic & aunt Clara really did save samantha when she sent everyone away cuz Darrin would have been really pissed off if he seen a trail in his living room
