It is BEYOND incredible to find a video for such a landmark aussie garage KILLER. The Atlantics were an ace surf instrumental bsnd, "Bombora" is easily as good as "Pipeline", but when they hooked up with older rocker Johnny Rebb in 1966/7 and put down some vocal sides, it was UNBELIEVABLE. Check out their other youtube clip for "Come On", also from Tomtokenator, covered in the 80s by fab Oz band Wet Taxis and later on by Sweden's ultra cool Nomads. Well done Tomtokenator, what a revelation!!!
I have always loved your "Tom Terrific" intro to your music videos. Like the Black Diamonds, another fantastic piece of 60's powerful music. I love the organ coming through with the powerful melodic part. Thank you for posting and sharing another great-feeling piece of super-work that makes my love for the sixties' music and scene that much more. I was born in 1958. I loved my parents very much though I was told as a child that rock was "noise." Told that by my brother, too. Hey, I love it
Who knew that Charlie Watts played keyboards? Fantastic!!! Of course, on vocals, is none other than Kevin Nealon of Saturday Night Live. Yes folks, this was what Nealon did years ago. LOL
It was very generous of Charlie Watts to take from what was a very hectic schedule, just to travel to Australia and help The Atlantics out on keyboards.
Great to see the old Atlantics!!! Check out all their albums!!! Peter Hood is one of the best drummers ever! You like Mel Taylor? Me too! He and Peter are sooooo great! Reverbed cheers from The Kilaueas from Germany! If you like Surfinstrumentals, check out The Kilaueas here on youtube! Ralf Kilauea
Can't see the singer's face; the sign is covering it. It's all backwards, instead of the singer standing in the front, he's standing in the back and the drummer is in the front.
