Ignore people who criticize you! You have great instincts, an infectious joy, and wonderful techniques that have us scampering off to try them. I look forward to your videos for all these reasons so keep 'em coming!
You are a fabulous crafter, don’t take any notice of negative, patronising comments Marion. I, like many others look forward to watching your videos and really enjoy your energy, enthusiasm and ability. 😊
You are one brilliantly creative lady! Loved the idea to glue the strips on the negative die cut! Wow! I have hated to throw them out so many times because they are so pretty but didn’t know what to do with them besides stencil through them. That was just purely brainy! Way to go Marion! Love it! You know you are my number 1 top channel right? Yes you are! You first-ALWAYS!
@@marionemberson I save the tiniest scraps of cardstock and patterned paper and metallic. All kinds. And I have used those tiny pieces. I have a great system, well it works great for me. At the office supply they have gusseted bottom plastic zippered envelope type things and they come in big sizes or like just about probably 5”x9” and I use the smaller size one for each color of cardstock for scraps. Anything smaller than a half sheet goes in the correct color envelope. I have a label on them although their clear and I stand them on end in a metal mesh bin all in a row. If I need green for a die cut I look there first. SBC just got the sizes I need in a heavier duty zipper than what these are that I want badly. But I’ve not had any trouble with the smaller ones. I use the bigger ones for patterned paper, glitter paper, vellum, metallics and so on. Those zippers have cracked off for some reason and I never use them. But because they’re gusseted they hold a lot! I’ll send you a picture one day to your email. It works brilliantly.
Remember when were young certain sounds would immediately thrill us because we knew something good was starting. It could an ice cream truck, the phone ringing when we were expecting an important call, opening music of our favorite shows and many more. It is sad as we get much older and that feeling doesn't happen often. Then....I hear Marion's voice.... the magic something to look forward to feeling makes me feel young again. I love your voice and everything you film. Thank you!
I don’t know how anyone could criticize you. You are very talented and I so enjoy watching you create. Please consider that these sad people that criticize are just unhappy people and this has nothing to do with you. Thank you for sharing your crafts. God Bless!
Marion, I enjoy that you reset as your go. Even if you feel you are making an error, you laugh it off and carry on. Makes you human, which of course you are. Tnx for sharing your gems! From Quebec ⚜️ 🇨🇦!
Thanks Christine, my brain just starts thinking up other ideas while I’m playing, I could sit all day and still never finish what’s in my head, hence I don’t sleep very well 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
I’m loving all the cards you’ve made with the strips Marion. I especially love the twofer one Thinking of you. So pretty and a gorgeous font too. Keep up the amazing videos, you brighten up my day & lift my mood with your cheery banter and I must admit my family & friends are always at me as I also call things do-dahs…..so descriptive, I think!! Take care. Much love Ann ❤❤xxx
Love your ideas and creativity, you always make me smile as I keep changing my mind and ponder over what to use, your laugh and enthusiasm are infectious. I too have an older big shot mines is the blue original one and I have glued some cardboard packaging from the Gemini dies together to create a shim for it and it now cuts the detailed dies perfectly. ❤
you can never please everyone Marion🙄. These are lovely! I don't know if it's just my monitor playing tricks, but that sparkly background looks to me like it would make a lovely Christmas colour scheme. Because Christmas falls during summer here, a lot of the more traditional colour combinations feel a bit 'heavy' to me. I love watching the embossing powder come to life. Gotta love a twofer😂.
Marion I loved the glitter card idea and the acetate strips so much! Gosh, I feel so dumb sometimes when I see some technique like these that are fast and super easy and I would have never thought of it! Remember I showed you all the beautiful glitters I have and I never think to use them! I think because adhering them seems to always throw me because I think glue and mess and not solid coverage. But this was wonderful! I saved it in my huge library and personally, I’d love to see more ideas with glitters. WOW has such beautiful ones as well but I think we forget how to use them, or it’s just me! Could you try to do more with glitter in the future please? Thank you! Acetate strips was awesome too!
I love you channel. You are so creative and your ideas are amazing. I noticed someone was telling you to ignore certain people. Let me tell you there are some “sillies” who go around to You Tubers and harass Beautiful people and put them down! Just laugh and count your numbers! Blessings, love, and hugs
I didnt realize my score board was until you just said yours was and mine's exactly like yours! Hahaha Time flies. I'm new to your videos and I love your ideas. Thank you! ❤❤❤
All 3 cards are wonderful. Agree re not putting back in the small fiddly bits in the aperture one. Stripes of strips is such a versatile and classic design.
@@marionemberson you bring me the only happiness I really get. I enjoy you so much. Not just your beautiful and very unique cards, but your personality! You remind me so much of how I used them be. I just love you to death!❤️🙏🏻🌷
Love, love, love my Martha Stewart scoring board! It looked really nice how you edged the “hello” card with your scoring board. The little flourishes are what I need help with so I thank you for all the ideas.
Genius cards Marion! All of them! That glitter application is so cool! Please keep doing what you do! You have a lot of fans! I love it when you say, “oooo…wait…that’s just given me an idea”. So engaging to watch your process. Thank you!
Hi Marion Can you get stamping foam from the Range? Will get some when I go to the Hospital for my 1st Mammogram since surgery. My friend had someone criticise her cards saying they we'rnt very good and they were over priced. That's why everybody loves them she Makes them with seaglass & Shells. Keep going Marion they are probly jealous that they can't. Make beautiful cards. Julie you have our support. X
Hello from Australia, always love your videos. Wanted to let you know the high quality bone folders (non plastic) can be re-sharpened. Use a small piece of sandpaper (recommended to wear mask) to avoid breathing in any of the dust. There’s a video/s on RU-vid if you need visual instructions. 👌🏼😊
WOW never thought of doing it on the acetate, and I thought I saw it all. Very nice. Though if you had a larger acetate sheet, you would instantly get two cards. I'm so doing it. Thanks a much,
Tip: I found that gluing on glitter takes a bit of a different glue than my beloved bearly arts. It’s too thin. But I follow Rebecca Kepple and she uses Thermoweb glue. for glitter it is fabulous! It’s a much more dense glue and it doesn’t “soak in” to the glitter. One tube lasts forever because it’s usually all I use it for unless something is very textured. I highly recommend just one tube for gluing on glitter. Highly recommend! It’s a pink tube.
Yes Zsoka is amazingly talented! I’m thrilled for her to have gotten picked up from SBC but she’s been working for spell binders for like a decade! She has a great spin on normal dies! If only I could buy them all!
I do quilling and the paper comes in various widths. Easy peasy for strips, although it is thinner. I use glitter washi tapes for stripy cards. For the lovely leaf die, I have used similar with Press and Seal for inlaying the little bits with different colours. Reminds me of all the stuff I have, which I should use more. ❤🇦🇺
Hi Marion one tip I have seen recently suggested if you run you dies through on an angle rather than straight on to the rolleer the machine puts more pressure on the dies andthey cut better because there is less die in contact at esch moment if you follow the idea. Any way nice vidoe snd also the prvious one was great.
You are such a joy to watch 😊. Love your creativity, as well as your laugh and always appreciate what you share! Thanks so much for bringing sunshine to my craftroom! Cheers, 🥰🥰
I've had the Martha Stewart score boards (both the large and the small sizes) and use the small one on every card I make. I do not like the scoring tool that came with them. I found it to be too sharp against my hand when I was holding it to score. I've gotten a teflon "pencil" for scoring, but also use the ball from a dry emboss stylus. Both are good alternatives when your scoring tool wears out. I'm really enjoying your videos, especially your enthusiasm and the randomness of how ideas seem to just keep popping up. I've recently started keeping all of my new dies, stamps, etc. in a separate box and as I flip through them they inspire me to try new things. Once I've used them, I store them with other dies, stamps, etc. because I know I'll go back to them. I ordered the SBC strips (stripes?) dies and it's being delivered today. My head is spinning with ideas! Thank you 😊.
What about if you took some of the thinner strips and glued them to copy paper or whatever and die cut your sentiment it? You could make the die cut version horizontal or ??? Just a thought. You are delightful!
The embossing glitter gets heated as that’s embossing powder with glitter in it, the Sparkles is just pure glitter and doesn’t require heating, the WOW Sparkles won’t melt if it does get heated, but some others may, so if you have others always do a test piece, I hope that helps 😍😍😍
Hi, the WOW card is 250 gsm, as for the scrapbook com Cardstock I'll have to wait till I get home to check as I'm away for the weekend right now, bear with, my son is there but he wouldn’t have a clue what I’m talking about 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Oh I’ve been really itching to make a haul! Badly, so badly. I just cannot find the money! I bought literally 2 die sets from spellbinders because they had a BOGO sale and I needed easy see tape for my dies and SBC only had the mint tape which doesn’t work well for die cutting for me. So I bought just a couple things from SSS and then crafty meraki had a 25% off all distress so I bought up a ton of oxide trinkets. But that was not fun at all! Spending $149 on just reinkers is no fun at all! It’s not really product per se, you know? And of course I still need loads more that they didn’t have. But I’m the long run, I hope it pays off that I got them. I did get a lot of colors but still need so many more. But the oxides and CP are all the inks I use so it’s just an investment I guess. But a lot of money to stick in a drawer for someday! Remember that crafty meraki is selling out all of the other brands they carry and will be varying only their own. So they should have good sales coming on all other brands.
I hope to get to use them Denise, it’s only a bargain if they get used, don’t do what I did once and left them so long they dried up and leaked, had to throw them away 🙈🙈🙈
@@marionemberson oh no! The reinkers did??? Aaahhh! I should just rein all my pads but I haven’t used them much. I find I make a lot of die cut cards like Zsoka.
