It's much easier to start over with a clean slate than to build up from a negative reputation. If they really want to rebuild FaZe, they're going to need to grind back up. Clean house, set high standards and policies for new recruits with thorough vetting, and stay out of trouble for a long time while racking up small wins. Transparency helps a lot, so making it clear any behavior that disgraced FaZe in the past would be treated with a zero-tolerance policy. Take an example of how other organizations deal with misbehavior: OTK. They've had a few scandals. One was with Rich who was promptly removed despite being a founder and his behavior was condemned by the organization. From day 1 they've had a zero tolerance policy here. When Miz was embroiled in a scandal, they suspended him while they investigated and all of this was done publicly. An example of how even slightly mishandling things causes long-term damage is Method. They're a large streaming organization beyond just the WoW guild. One of their WoW members, Josh, was involved in a sexual assault allegation, and the leadership was aware of this. When the victim of this alleged assault came out with her story and it was revealed there were criminal investigations in play, he was removed as were some people in leadership who tried to cover it up. A lot of independent creators streaming under the Method org left promptly due to how badly this was handled, and their reputation was severely damaged for years. It still hasn't fully recovered. There's nothing wrong with wanting to do this, I just don't think people will see what they're doing as a step in the right direction. I certainly don't.

The systemic issues with FaZe that has caused it to crumble with scandal after scandal and the fact that the FaZe name is synonymous with toxic male gamers are all still present. As every other eSports/Gaming org did too. It was always gonna come to a point where you wouldn’t be able to fund it all yourself. Look at OpTic. Exact same scenario happened and Hecz ended up losing the org completely (Hecz would never sell unless that was the only option left; he had to sell in order to be able to compete). Fortunately, he was able to buy it back and OpTic then merged with nV to put them in a better spot financially. They sold and it hasn’t worked out in terms of FaZe being meaningful like it once was. But the reality is Grace has just joined at a bad time after the OGs have been very public with their ownership and Grace is just the example of a bad decision. I wouldn’t consider it personal, rather wrong person, wrong time.

P.S. the lifeblood of OpTic is the fans and the moments created with everyone there over the last decade - one of a kind org. FaZe was once like this with their OGs.

its weird that she signed with FaZe . She had friends in both OTV and 100T both these orgs would have been a better option than FaZe

@@sezer6200 Apparently they promised her resources to direct and act in a movie that she wants to do about the girls in gaming or something like that. I don't think it's about money because clearly FaZe can not afford to one-up 100T these days, it's not about branding either (cause she isn't a trickshot andy or a competitive player), I think it's literally just FaZe told her "come here we'll give you what you need for your movie" and her thinking "well FaZe has a long history in this industry might as well sign with a big player" without knowing much since she isn't from this world.

But I do remember catching a Tarik stream when he was playing with her and she did mention something about a movie and asked valkyrae about it. Either way it's not gonna happen FaZe aren't dumb enough to fund a whole ass cinematographic production with no return for years in the making. They have other priorities right now. Some time ago (like 2-3 months maybe) she got hosted so I ended up catching her stream and she said that she would be in Europe in April or May to shoot a movie and that she wouldn't be able to stream as much but that she would be film vlogs BTS style. So I guess she still try to be a actress ?

And the fact that faze was acting like they were getting someone from the community and a streamer who had to work hard at streaming not get their streaming audience handed to them from OTV and likes.

Every esport org is firing staffs. Actually what does these Faze employee even do that they need so many of them? Esport scene is full of paycheck stealer. Who contribute nothing but still want the money.

All they said was this was just another PR stunt and if they wanted more women that there were much more deserving people than Grace, Rain literally said initially he had nothing against Grace and she is just caught in the crossfire. Also given Graces recent comments of making fun of Rain Overdosing/suicide she isn’t a saint and also saying how FaZe has a history of SA against women but still joining FaZe shows she isn’t smart either.

They're speaking on what's hurting them and its unfortunate that other people have to be pulled into it. It's impossible to please everyone. Rain knows he's playing "bad cop" right now but someone has to do it. They've been fighting this privately for so long with little to no change so the only option is to go public and break the company. Ever since they went corporate its been downhill and to not realise that is quite ignorant. The bullying side of it is of course uncalled for and not in any way validated but honestly its hard to ask for change without someone being affected negatively. This the way life goes sadly.

You don’t get to scan the fans and then pretend like you’re the only one who knows what they want. He was all about FaZe when the scams were going and money coming in, while Rain and Teeqo were at their lowest being treated like shit. Those were the years Banks made the most of his money and fame. Banks goes where the money is, and just like he stayed when that’s what the money move was, he is going to speak out now that it benefits him more than being loyal to the corporate side. There are plenty other members of this org, OGs at that, with the same knowledge and abilities as Banks, that haven’t gone out of their way to scam their fans multiple times with 0 accountability or remorse.
