I am an 80 year old retired Army veteran. Have enjoyed many years of active work, but in the process of discovering new adventures. I came across the Silhouette Cameo, and the 3D Software. Enjoying both very much, but I happened on cards and foil. This I believe is I what I wish to tackle at this time. Thanks for sharing your talent for us newbies. John
Gina, you make the most beautiful things! Those foiled die cuts are perfectly gorgeous! I did not know you could background-color over toner on a sheet of paper. That is lovely! Best wishes to you in your new store in Greendale, WI! What a beautiful area. Love Milwaukee area and have family there.
Okay, you've finally convinced me to get a laminator. Now that Deco has those toner sheets, and your store offers all of those gorgeous foilable items, I have to have one! :-)
I love the look of what you made! I would tackle making Christmas cards and birthday cards with the Deco Foils. I had no idea there's so many different products to use with the Deco Foil! Great video, Gina!
Will definitely be ordering some of your already printed backgrounds and tags. I used the toner sheets (another brand) in my die cut machine last year at Christmas to run through my minc and love the versatility of it. Thanks for also keeping you dies so reasonably priced!
You are so pretty and seem like such a nice person! You are also so creative and run a really successful business! Wow, you have it all! I really enjoy watching your videos!
WOW! What great cards! Gonna have to get some of this to make my Christmas cards this year! I'm always looking for something new that I haven't done before. Thanks so much for this video! Hugs!!
I absolutely love your cards, I enjoy all of your videos, and these are gorgeous, thanks so much, can’t wait to get some of deco foil toner sheets to try these.
Gorgeous cards. I love the ideas of the foilables. With the leftover pieces, I think i'd put them onto the sheets of sticky and fill in the gaps with glitter!! Especially for Christmas cards.Kathleen Mc xx
As always, you have knocked it out of the park. Beautiful cards. Thank you. I have the foil etc. I appreciate your ideas for using it. I have to go check out your toner images.
Always a joy watching you create love everything that you do I had a question about the foilable sheets, how many card fronts can you get out of 1 sheet of the Large Snowflakes set of 4 or how many can I get out of all 4 together?
Hi Gina, Do you find the Fiskars trimmer to be accurate with the cuts? So many of the other Fiskars trimmers give me different measurements from top to bottom, but they are the ones with the cutter that you move up and down the groove. Thanks.
So beautiful!! I will definitely be doing this for Christmas. I have wondered though why you don't do the weekly RU-vid videos anymore? And do you still do the monthly kits? I haven't purchased anything from your store since I purchased the Black Friday kits last year (which I loved and hope you will continue doing??) since I haven't seen you around. TFS!!
I purchased Foil 6 x 8 inch Sheets - Sparkling Silver, Glittering Green and Radiant Red with Storage Pocket can this be used with any designs and run through laminator.?
Great Video...but how did you foil the Merry Christmas. I tried and could not do it. I stamped with regular ink. Is there a special ink. You didn't mention that on the video. Please advise. Thank kyou
The Merry Christmas is a pre-printed Foil-Mates design. They are printed with a commercial grade resin that melts and the foil adheres once it's run through a laminator. :)
I really enjoyed watching this video Gina "WELL DONE". I also watched your video doing different knots/bows which I was most impressed. You are a great demonstrator/teacher again "WELL DONE". How do I get on getting items from you as I leave in New Zealand? This information would be most appreciated and would I be able to have priced in NZ Dollars, please. CHEERS
Lorraine Eason you can check our website under the our retailers tab to see if there are stores near you, otherwise you can order direct. Our prices are in US dollars but there are conversion calculators online that you can use for more accurate amounts.
Beautiful work. I found, however, that foiling over score tape was very fragile and actually started to come off if you handled it too much. I wonder if you had noticed the same problem. I was not alone in that finding, by the way.
I know that you mostly work with paper crafts. I know that Deco Foil works great on laser prints and heat. I have a question about that. I might try it today so I probably will have the answer before you get a chance to get back to me. My question is, If I print on fabric through my laser printer, will the foil behave the same as the laser prints on paper? I want to use that technique and heat it with an iron instead of a lamination machine.
I wish someone would develop a "toner ink" that could be used with rubber stamps....just think of how that would expand our horizons! I have some gorgeous stamps I'd love to see in foil. Guess I could print them in VersaFine black ink and take them to copy place to have them laser printed....as our printer is ink jet and that type of ink won't work with foiling.
I love your videos. Would you show me how to use the toner sheets on something I have written in a greeting card. I can’t afford a printer so am interested how a toner sheet works. Sue
After seeing your very beautiful cards, I went out and bought a laminating machine like yours, now I have to find out how to get my messages on the toner paper so I can foil them. please help me with this. Thank you.
You will need to print your messages using a laser printer. Just create your text on your computer and use white copy paper to print on your laser printer. Ink jet printers do not work for foiling. Alternatively, you can use die cut words you might have with toner paper similar to what Gina did with her snowflake and butterfly.
FYI: You really do NOT want to be using the word "putz or as you said putzy" The word Putz is an extremely vulgar foul word in Yiddish. If anyone else understood Yiddish the too would be appalled.
I would highly recommend that you do not use the word "putz" especially on RU-vid. It is a foul word in Yiddish. If you would like a further explanation please email me privately.
