It was Blackpink help the kpop girl groups more recognize in globally. Nothing wrong to call them the leader of kpop girl group since they already got the title of the biggest girl group in the world. Hater or some fandom just didn't want to admit it. There are many more on girl groups on 2nd and 3rd generation but didn't get accepted on globally until Blackpink change it. If you pay attention, you will notice many 4th generation girl groups debut on 2020 - 2023 because of Blackpink getting more recognize on globally.

As expected, there are already a lot of fans of other GGs who have been t r i g g e r e d by Lisa's cartoon character's rap. It's almost hilarious to see their comments. You can tell that they're punching walls, throwing keyboards across the room and losing sleep over it. Of course virtually ALL of them: (1) don't understand that these kinds of bragging lyrics are just a humorous, teasing kind of hip-hop "flex" genre; (2) don't even understand what "paved the way" means (and most of them seem to think that it means getting credit for creating the whole Kpop industry and making it possible for other Kpop groups to exist...a weirdly ignorant misunderstanding of what "paved the way" actually means); and (3) They automatically assume that their favorite non-Blackpink girl group is being disrespected (meaning that they're so insecure about their own fave's status in Kpop that they think they have to defend their faves against a rap performed by a Lisa cartoon character in a song promoting a fantasy game that didn't even mention their faves by name). Of course, according to the actual meaning of "paved the way", Blackpink has all the receipts and there's no room for argument. It just means starting out on a path that was already paved...and then going beyond that to the next level of achievements and "firsts". There are so many categories where BP has clearly gone beyond the records and achievements of previous groups. (Like did any other Kpop group headline at Coachella and have a live-streaming audience of around 200 million? Like which other Kpop GG has multiple music videos with more than a billion views each? Which other Kpop GG has ever done a worldwide concert tour on the scale that BP has done in just the past year?)

Using Blackpink's name and linking it to their new girl groups seems to have become the standard marketing strategy for Kpop companies now. SM did it/does it with Aespa. The NewJeans agency is doing it all the time now too. They always get 10 times more attention for whatever they're doing if they use Blackpink's name and fame (for free) and link it to their group. Most often they do it by making some kind of ridiculous comparison and claiming that their new GG "beat" Blackpink at something that usually is not a real area of competition. They'll even do things almost as ridiculous as claiming that their group is better than Blackpink because their group holds the record for "the most M/V views by a Kpop GG between the hours of 5am and 6am on the third Thursday of March" or something like that. Basically, just hunting for some weirdly narrow category that nobody ever thought of before where they can claim to have done "better" than Blackpink. Just like Aespa claimed to be better than BP because they were first to perform on the Coachella main stage (without ever mentioning that they were just one of a couple dozen miscellaneous acts (doing only about 3 songs) in a variety show on the main stage and that even the whole variety show was not any main event but was just being used as filler entertainment when the main stage was not being used for one of the major shows.)
