As far as I know this organ has been playing 125 rolls since at least the 1970s (1960s?) although I don’t know who did the conversion. Bill Kromer did some work on it in the 70s or 80s, although I’m not sure whether he did the roll conversion or not. The organ is reportedly a Wilhelm Bruder Sohne 79 organ, although I don’t have a photo of it with the original facade or know the earliest history. This was their most popular model organ, and they shipped them with at least 6 different styles of facade. The organ currently has a fiberglass replica of a Cesar Maserati street-piano (barrel piano) facade. The wooden Maserati front was sold decades ago at a carousel auction. This organ was formerly on PTC #49 carousel, and before that on another carousel at Wildwood. It was already playing 125 rolls at Wildwood. I don’t know any earlier history.
Some other fiberglass(?) copies of this same Maserati front were sold to Ragtime Automated Music (RAM) in California who have used them for their style “167” plastic whistle calliope with drums using O-rolls (there are also MIDI versions with accordion). This might confuse some people so I am writing it here.
Actually they had the Gebruder Bruder 107 organ in the center of the carousel for a time playing books. That organ can still do so (plus MIDI) but is now off to one side of the carousel.
