I don't believe he ever said when the budget will balance itself. It's theoretically possible that given an infinite amount of time, the budget will randomly settle on balanced outcome at some point. So just like everything else the liberals say, it's technically true but lying by omission of key criteria.

We need to export our clean burning LNG to friend and foe to get them off coal. Imposing 10 years of misery on us to "possibly" change the carbon emissions by "maybe 1.4% is insane. We could lower global carbon by 20%+ just by exporting all the LNG we can pump. Bit better than 1.4% and starving and freezing the lower half of Canadians don't you think Guilbault?
