Well, after taking everything apart, Ox-Gard, seal a split in the coil housing, SWR went over 3.0 again. Five hours before, I made contact with Fire Station in Long Beach with a 1.1 SWR. I don't but somethings obviously going to change.

Hello buddy, very nice antenna which is a great basis of aluminium :) Hope to buy a Yagi Antenna soon but there aren't much suppliers around Europe and when it comes to shipping. Cheers my friend and take care 73!

The Yagi I have is a Sirio which is actually out of Italy. Maybe you can get one on that side and save on shipping. 🤞✌✌

Nice antenna! Hope you find the problem. Sounds like it’s thermal. I stored a really nice Mosley base antenna in my garden shed for several years. A bag of 12-12-12 fertilizer got onto some elements. That stuff ate holes in several aluminum poles. Now I have to see if they have replacements. 😞 I may never learn!

You can also check the local salvage yards. They get a lot of aluminum tubing and even though it may not be exact it will definitely do the job and no one can see it from the ground anyway.

@@390WagonMaster Just wondering. My swr is through the roof when it's cold. Not sure what I'm going to do.
