I use them to pay tolls. 99% of the reaction is positive. Every now and then I get an ecstatic reaction. Today I got 2 smiles. The regular collectors on my route call me the $2 trucker, cuz I pay my $4.25 toll in two $2 bills and a quarter every day, twice a day. I paid 2 $12 tolls today on a water run today and got a smile both times. (This isn't my normal run). I try to pay exact change with the largest denomination of bills and coins, as it helps the collectors keep their money drawers up and it keeps me from having to handle and keep more bills and coins on hand and track of
You should get a camera in your truck that can see out the driver window, and record these interactions! Some of that sounds like good stuff to use in a future video. In fact, if I lived where there were tolls, I'd pay with twos all the time and record what happened, and turn it into a video here if it were interesting enough. Thanks for the comment!
@Mario Salinas people aren't spending dollar coins because there's no way to carry them with them my wallet has no place to put coins of any type at least not that I know of. I actually carry a second walk with me just to put the coins in and I have a few fake bills and other stuff any other compartments just in case I get robbed give me your wallet
They're not ruined with a stamp - they can still be spent and should be accepted by vendors. If they end up at a bank, they will be sent back to the Federal Reserve to be destroyed, but then that amount goes into the next printing order to replace them.
@@BigRobb12345 We know all about it! We included Clemson's $2 bill tradition in our film. Here's a clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-17150jCbxxs.html
I get as many as my bank has. I just spent them though. Just trying to get them out there. Maybe help people realize that they aren't rare or valuable. It bugs me that people horde them assuming they are
That's great to hear - we think alike! Maybe you've seen a recent video we posted where we go to 10 banks trying to find them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bpfBAwf2HPI.html And it sounds like you'd love the documentary we made about $2s. If you haven't seen it, visit our website for the DVD or watch through Amazon here: amzn.to/2gpRKum Thanks for the comment!
Mashfiq, start filming some of the things you do with $2 bills. If using a smart phone, keep it turned sideways. Get a bunch of stuff and maybe I can use something down the road. What city do you live in?
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary my mom gave our waiter a $2 tip, showed it to a guy in the kitchen and the guy in the kitchen bought it for $7 cuz he thought it was rare
