Moving along on the Jeep Wrangler JK King of the Hammers build, its time to make a custom transmission mount for the Reid Racing TH400, get the Advanced Adapters Atlas transfer case all mounted up, which finished our powertrain mounting! Damn Im glad I watched this video. Im getting ready to order an atlas T-case and I would have totally re-tapped the mounting bolt holes. Now if I can just remember that it's an interference fit 10:28

No, Mike will be. It’s too dangerous of a race for both of us to be in the same vehicle incase something did go wrong, and with the kids it’s not worth the risk.

Depending on how you have the cage come through the front, leave the rear open and just have bolt in panels for the body so you just unbolt and remove body

Had the same problem with the transfer case bolts I purchased from them for my Dana 300. Were very tight and felt almost as if it was the wrong thread. They said as you mentioned, it is designed to be an interference fit. I ended up having one snap. The cast iron housing of the Dana 300 is not as forgiving as aluminum. Hope I never have to try and remove them. First owner of Willy's Jeep was John.

I assume that you will be using solid body mounts and not rubber mount the body since you want to tie the roll cage to the frame.

@@JKGearandGadgets I guess I missed that video. Looks good. Keeping the CG low is always good. I suspect that you will be doing a lot more floor and firewall cutting. I love seeing the true “Everyman” race builds.
