I cannot consider myself a fan, but It's sad to see the downfall the Valencia. A lot of ballers coming from this team, Villa/Mata/Parejo/David Silva & more
A Bordeaux/Saint Etienne video would be interesting since they are on the brink of extinction. It would be a great contrast to PSG and Mbappe basically running the league with unlimited money.
Situation is even worse than described. Mendes decides almost every player and there aren't propper independent professionals on the club. He is not even bringing good players anymore. He brought Thierry Rendall, a right-back with only 4 games in the Portuguese league, for 15 million euros. He has spent the last 3 seasons almost without playin. Also Mangala was brought against medical advice with an injury that didn't allow him to play for 2 seasons. There isn't a sporting director or a man in charge of signings. Moreover, the club is more and more bankrupt due to the way they manage the club.
Thanks for making this. I am a Valencia fan. Really tough times incoming.. Peter Lim just needs to leave. It can only get better. If we lose Gaya-Soler-Guedes this summer I'll legit cry.
Well, Valencia got Cavani and other 8 new signings now. Fresh start of the season. The management seems to be fighting to get the new stadium done after they sort of the administrative issues with the govt.
As a Celta fan I don't understand why they played Wass as a wingback. His control of the midfield, passing and set pieces was always his strength, I feel like he was wasted on the RB position
i'm a newcastle fan since 1996, so believe me when i say that i have my deepest sympathy to Valencia..just believe that there is a light in the end of this darkness
Had the opportunity to have a chat with Jonas back in 2019. He is amazing individual with extremely good understanding of what he is actually saying. It’s really hard to come across people like him.
If AC Milan can come back and win the Scudetto after a decade of languishing, then Valencia has a chance to return to prominance as well. It all starts at the top with ownership.
I’m the president of the Penya Guiri de Londres, the official U.K. fanclub. Part of the Agrupació de Penyes. Sean Bai actually reached out to the president of the Agrupació (which was kicked out of its HQ in Mestalla after the fans voted in a no-confidence in Lim) to try and make amends. On the whole it was positive. Well, any dialogue is positive. After the fiasco of the Copa final, when the club didn’t give any fan clubs access to tickets and ONLY gave it to season ticket holders who had been to 80% of matches over several years, the rest going to corporates or just disappearing (fan-clubs or “penyes” normally get 9,000 tickets or so) - I went to Sevilla without a ticket as they kept everyone waiting till last minute and ended up watching it on a screen while my fellow fans ended up paying touts 300€+ - any dialogue is welcomed. If the Agrupació is welcomed back and even have their HQ in the stadium again this will be a huge bridge that will be built, one that Calatrava himself would be proud of 😂
Hey Adrian love the videos especially these explainer ones, just wanted to say I'm going to Montreal for the first time over the weekend!!! Anything u recommend?
I remember those times, they had really good players like Lopez, Aimar, Ayala, Canizares, Mendieta, etc. Now they don't even have close to the quality of players of the past. I hope they can bounce back but it's not gonna happen with Peter Lim as the owner, he needs to sell the club
Ajax fan here. Can still remember Bordalas and how he let Getafe play against us. Now I honestly haven't followed Valencia that closely last season, but if Bordalas had let Valencia play like how he let Getafe play, I fully understand why the Valencia supporters would hate the guy with a burning passion. I know I do. 🤣 But okay, at least he is out. Fingers crossed Gattuso will do better.
this guy Lim is only a businessman , he doesnt wanna buy any local clubs from SG because its not profitable and Valencia is just his puppy project with a great disconnect with the fans and the club directions. It might likely get worse before it will get better
This is going to be a very though summer for us Valencia fans not tougher than the one where we lost Rodrigo and Parejo but still it is going to be a fucked up summer...
What? How was the reaction after Bordalas got sacked two sided. A manager getting a team that should be in the relegation battles on paper and even kinda was last season and giving fans hope with getting us again into the european spots contention for most of the season until he threw all his cards on to the final, getting this abomination of a team to perform very well, to overachieve massively, getting us to the copa del rey final where we were 1 penalty away from winning it... even though his style wasn't attractive to watch with this side it was more important to win than to play attractive football. If you have relief or you are happy after his sacking you either are not a real Valencia fan or you just don't understand the situation we are in rn. I'm never going to forget him. I wanted him to win that copa del rey with my life...
And that's why there was a rumor about James Rodríguez coming to play for Valencia. NGL I'd be content with James coming to a great league, but the fact that Mendes has so much dirt water on this club makes me think it wouldn't be good.
I thought Valencia was still an attacking team this season, to me the 1-4 L results against Barca Real and Betis as well as 1-3 L against Sevilla were due to optimistic, attacking positioning. At the very least as a Madrid fan I can attest that the 4-1 against Valencia were some of the easiest goals this season. At 2-1 there were times where Valencia had no holding mid and only 3 defenders. If that is not free flowing attack
God I love these videos. Adrian, could you do an Inter one because we always seem to be broke each summer window and we have to sacrifice at least 1 or 2 starts for another even if they themselves aren’t willing to go. An example of this is Skriniar who loves the club but he knows he has the one to be sacrificed for Inter to progress forward I guess. In my opinion I wanted De Vrij to leave instead but hey nothing much I can do. Similar to Valencia fans with the Liv out signs, I see Inter fans especially on the Inter instagram page, the fans are always commenting Zhang out in different clubs. I hope you do so in the coming months. Love the videos.
Sounds great yeah? Well the thing is Lim wouldn't spend more then 10 million on mbappe if he had a chance and Napoli wants at leats 15 mil for Politano. It's not happening. Until Lim sells the club nothing is going to change.
@@Slr19_ Unless they're Jorge Mendes clients. Then he'll get out the checkbook. Example: He would have most certainly paid at least 20-30 million Euros for James Rodriguez if he had the chance. Not prime James. Current, Olympiakos James.
@@sociolocomtsac he probably doesn’t make much from cr7 rights. peter is a huge Man U fans and likely did the deal out of sentiments like how he hired Gary Neville as his mgr.
@@siphemanana2551 Probably Lim, but by the slimmest of margins. The tone-deafness that the Glazers showed when it came to the ESL is what pushed it over the edge for me, personally.
