I'm not sure you can get the Ryobi branded 12v replacements, but you can get generic ones. I had to do that for my old 12v dewalt tools. I just can't let go of them as they still run flawlessly.
Your pronunciation of Ryobi was correct. My mother was a schoolteacher and mispronunciation did not fly with her. You are ready for work that apparently is in the near future because of rain. I like my Ryobi stuff. About the same as you. You will need ninja patience with the trimmer restring. I suppose you have that considering your line of work
