I think Diplodocus is in the exact same situation as Bronto, just slightly over at 22m, very iconic, not crazy tall, interesting attack mechanic w the thin whiplike tail, would love to see bronto and diplo added for some variety for sauropods
Apatosaurus is more balanced than diplo since diplo is faster and has a longer range, but apatosaurus is tangier and slower. In fact accurate speed of a diplo is tops 12-22mph (WOW!) and apatosaurus is 12mph (wow!!!)
Amarg needs a buff more than anything. They look & sound amazing, but are bullied by everything else. Put on lone survivor, a pachy knocks you into trouble. Put knockback protection, everything else kills you… Players are jerks lol
I would love to see a Mamenchisaurus in the game. It just makes the length cut. It was 65ft (19.8m) long making this a huge herbivore. They were thought to have a clubbed tail as well. I would love to see this massive beast within the game.
I think Mamenchisaurus would be great, it falls within the size limit & it would be the flip side of the coin from Amargasaurus. With the latter being a very unsauropod-like Sauropod with its short neck, small size & spikes with Mamenchisaurus arguably being the most Sauropod-like Sauropod with it having the longest neck of its family.
for the zero people who wanted to know where the shunosaurus footage came from, its an episode from dinosaur revolution (my favorite as a kid) where a shunosaurus family comes up on an area with mushrooms, one of them (i believe the child) wants to eat them but the other shunos want them to follow along instead. next thing you know the shunosaurus is high on amanita and is being actively chased by predators. LIKE IF YOU DIDNT NEED TO KNOW THI-
It would be incredibly hard to survive as these small sauropods. Magyarosaurus is so small that it wouldn't really be able to fight anything, and it's so slow that it wouldn't be able to outrun anything.
I think Mamenchisaurus, Omeiosaurus & Rapetosaurus would be the best options, being within the 20m size limit, having the stereotypical Sauropod body plan (Making them distinct from the low-browsing Amargasaurus), being known from good remains so they'll be easy to reconstruct & still being big enough to itch that giant Sauropod itch a lot of people have. Another genus I would suggest would be Opisthocoelicaudia, at 14m it's a nice size & is known from pretty good remains.
Hypothetically, they could include the large sauropods as AI and ambient creatures for players to contend with on the maps. And perhaps their Ai could have them migrate from one area to another across the map and feed on the taller trees for a short period and then move on to the next. And since players can't feed from any of the trees, they won't complete with herbivore players. Also some of the smaller dinosaurs could use them as temporary meat shields from the mid tier to apex carnivores. But also give the AI sauropods the ability to respond aggressively to the mid-apex tier carnivores, and any other player character that actually attacks them too. In terms of killing them, it may come down to whether you can get enough large carnivores to team up to take one on, but also risk a potential 1-shot kill themselves from getting too close and not evading a stomp or kick from one of these AI sauropods. And IF the mystery dinosaur is a large Carcharodontosaurid, like Mapusaurus or Tyrannotitan, they could give it the Slicer ability they're giving to Deinonychus, as a nod to the "flesh grazer" hypothesis some have proposed for Carcharodontosaurids.
This has been a subject on my mind a lot. Sauropods are on the top of my list for new additions and I’m always happy to hear when modded ones are being worked on. My top four picks for Sauropods are as follows: 1. Atlasaurus - A 15 meter relative of Brachiosaurus with extremely odd proportions, having a short neck and long legs. These long legs don’t just make it look unique, they also allow the animal to move quickly with an estimate from Molina-Perez’s book suggesting it was faster than Allosaurus. 2. Camarasaurus - The most iconic sauropod in the restricted size range. It’s pretty average in proportion but that may work to contrast with Amargasaurus. 3. Isisaurus - A high-shouldered titanosaur from Late Cretaceous India, as a titanosaur it would have been armored. 4. Mendozasaurus - Another titanosaur, this time closely related to Argentinosaurus, it pretty much meets the 20 meter limit and was armored, meaning it’d be a perfect slow tank.
I mean... I want more sauropods BECAUSE they are HUGE.. So if they can't adjust the map for this, and only add small ones, I guess Amarga is good enough.
So far plenty of mod teams are adding sauropods to the game, the Primordial Tyrants team plans to add Ingentia, Shunosaurus, Xinjiangtitan, Barosaurus, Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Argentinosaurus (which Argent is already in the game. KTO mods plans on adding their versions of Shunosaurus, Argentinosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Barosaurus, and Xinjiangtitan as well as new species like Camarasaurus, Lohuecotitan, and Brontosaurus. As well as Europasaurus as AI. Divine Beasts plan on adding Ampelosaurus Titanus Constructus have also added their version of Ampelosaurus into the game already. But we'll have to wait and see if the official dev team of PoT will add more sauropods.
I really like the brontosaurus idea. Fit it to the 20m limit. Nice. I really do think that the largest dino should be a sauropod. I'd love to see this one implemented. I'd like big-boi bront in the game.
Astrodon. Ive said it before and ill say it again. Astrodon is the perfect sauropod to be added. It is a brachiosaurid. 18-20m long. What differentiates it from the cedarosaurus, aside from being bigger, is that its almost perfectly 3 even parts, neck/body/tail, all being very very close in length. So its body is quite bulky. You get maximum bulk without breaking the limit.
Isisaurus is one Id love to see since Prehistoric Planet showed it off. Camarasaurus is one that could work along with Saltasaurus, Nigersaurus, and Shunosaurus.
I want to see diplodicus mostly because it could pair decently with allo being that allosaurus according to many theories used to hunt them or gash out flesh and eat it
If there is one group of dinosaurs that I want to see more in Path of Titans, it is sauropods, my favorite group of dinosaurs, they are very interesting and strange animals It is cool to see Amargasaurus being a playable in a survival game, but one thing that I don't like about it, is that it does not represent what sauropods truly were, they were huge animals, while our Amarga buddy is only a medium sized herbivore.
Those Dinosaurs Deserve Being In The Game Like All The Rest Of The Other Dinosaurs In Path Of Titans Those Three Sauropods Are One Of My Favorite Dinosaurs Among The Other Dinosaurs and I’ve Been Obsessed And Loving Dinosaurs My Whole Life Ever Since I Was Just A Young Little Kid!!!🥺🥺🥺
Saltasaurus an armored sauropod from the cretaceous era growing 14ft tall, 40 feet long, and weighing 8 tons. ( 4 meters tall, 12 meters long, and 8000 kilos for all you not Americans.) It's one of the smaller titanosaurs! It definitely fits the role we want whilst being small enough for the prerequisites.
I’m thinking of lowering that sound, I quite like it as it makes them more impactful. But I agree that they are too loud. Although they are quite repetitive too. So I may need to find similar alt sounds
They are probably too similar to Amargasaurus but Bajadasaurus(10m) would be cool. It's slightly smaller then amarga but the spikes are way longer or Agustinia(15m) with spikes on it's back would be pretty neat. I would like to see a sauropod with a strong tail attack because I remember seeing a documentary(Dinosaur Revolution) as a kid showing the power of a diplodocus tail wipe and it could break bones. I would not go as far to give it a tail attack with bone break but I think a sauropod should have higher damage on it's tail then the Amargasaurus has now.
@@VelocciYT I thought about it, unfortunately I can not animate and the wait for the dev kit would probably kill my drive to mod PoT. But I did start a mod for it which I might share down the line. :)
Agustinia could be interesting! I know there would be some controversy there over what exactly they looked like vs how the fossils were originally interpreted, but a **little** artistic interpretation wouldn’t hurt, would it? They were estimated to be 15 metres in length and lived in the early Cretaceous (similar to the amarga) so they fit the requirements. The idea of an armoured sauropod just sounds so tanky. If the amarga got a bit of a buff + the bleed damage it already has, then an Agustinia could be like the amarga’s big, bully brother lol Still hoping the amarga gets a boost though, I love their design but they just get knocked around too much for something so huge
The sauropods I decided to go with would bring diffrent play styles to the game and are under 20 meters and weighing between 10 and 20 tons. First on my list is Camarasaurus being huge and bulky at 20 tons and known and loved by all itd bring an intresting play style being the largest creature in the game. next on my list is Diamantinasaurus pushing 20 tones at being 16 meters its a bit shorter then Camarasaurus but the most heavily built deffensive sauropod on this list plus itd add a creature from australia thats actually a dinosaur its tanky play style would be similar to the modded ampelosaurus just actually in the main game. Next 2 are other tanky sauropods pushing 15 to 20 tones is Andesaurus and Abditosaurus theyd play a similar style to the prior sauropod but they are just as intrestingly different like the Abditosaurus is a huge saltasaurid that was the largest titanosaur found in its range of Iberia and southern france. The Andesaurus would show some more representation of 1 of many titanosaurs in South America itd be intresting to have either in the game. Next on my list just made its debut in Prehistoric Planet season 2 the giant Isisaurus a very intresting titanosaur as it looked more like a combination of a Brach and Diplodicus having short spines running down its back while having the upright posture similar to that of a Brach but its a titanosaur pushing 15 to 17 tons the play style would be intresting to see in game now for the last and Smallest member of this group Ampelosaurus only being 10 tons ik there is a modded one out already but if they did add it id love to see the accurate representatiin of it also being a heavily armored tank of a sauropod. this list represents sauropods from all over the world thatd make intresting additions to the game being extremley large and powerful and being the largest land animals in the main game.
Camarasaurus (I just want it), Brontosaurus (the sizes go to 20 - 23 meters), Brachytrachelopan, and Lusotitan (which is just one meter bigger than the requirements)
Camara is a good one! when i was getting footage and saw it in PK i was like "maaan its so cool and probs fits in" xD I also was looking into Dongyangosaurus while scripting, i switched it out with Cedarosaurus tho
I'd love to see a Camarasaurus in the game. Not enough love for that sauropod. and it'd fit well in the game since it's a bit smaller than your typical one. I'd also love to see Alamosaurus
Well I've already said my hopes for shuno, but another on could Dicraeosaurus it's exactly 20 meters long and is related to diplodocus. Which is another pretty popular sauropod that's too big
They could just modify some areas and trails for larger sauropods.. not that hard. Also only spawn them in areas with room, this leaves them to be ambushed more but they could make it work, they are really slow with these updates do they need more money or more people?..not only this, we have a large sauropod in community gondwa servers and it works fine…?
I saw sauropods in many dinosaur games and in prehistoric planet seasons 1 and 2 and I agree it could be Shunosaurus since it has the club tail doing or not doing bone break like the anodontosaurus it could be cederasaurus since it’s a tall one and closely related to brachiosaurus it could be agypteosaurus since it’s long bigger and less and 20 meters long however all of them I mentioned are less than 20 meters and not too big and Amargasaurus was the first sauropod added in path of titans not the last but a sauropod but we also don’t know what the mystery dinosaur is but I agree to what you say we still have achillobator microraptor miragaia rhamphorynchus tylosaurus and leedsichthys and hatzegopteryx and Eurhinosaurus are next i agree to what you say
I do hope they give some tlc updates to amarg if they are gonna add more sauropods. Poor thing is literally a free meals on wheels in official servers :(
Personally I’d like to see some species like saltasaurus or europasaurus, aside the fact that i love these ones they are a fair compromise, if we can’t have argentinosaurus or Brachiosaurus go for the little cousins, and of course nigesaurus, because come on, who doesn’t love him?
I'd love to see it in the game tbf! It was in the original script, i had 6: - Nigersaurus - Magyarosaurus - Dongyangosaurus - Cedarosaurus - Brontosaurus I removed Nigersaurus and Dongyangosaurus as they were similar to both Magy and Cedaro respectively
@@VelocciYT fair. Tho Nigersaurus never really gets that much attention plus I have a pretty good concept for its play style: maybe smth like a desert specialist, like a camel, where it could have a really slow water drain and food drain while also moving very efficiently across the map at a decent pace
@@majorcheirus77 that would be a really cool idea tbf, plays into how the devs want to make each Dino unique! Could also get more water from melons and other plants, maybe able to eat cactus and get water from them
Camarasaurus or bronto seems like a great option, but let's be honest.....Brachiosaurus is one of the most epic dinos. I'm sad it can't be in the game.
I hope to make mods once modding goes public, I’ve had six rough ideas for sauropods. I’d love to see any of these come as officials. First, augustinia. Probably not this one since it’d be similar to amarga but man does it look cool it’d be so awesome to see off in the distance through the rain or fog. I think it could find its niche. Maybe a lighter, faster amarga, the kentro to the stego. But also with some unique abilities that mods only seem to be able to pull off lol. Second, ofc, shunosaurus. Club tailed sauropod? That’d be very cool. I also imagine this one to be a bit faster, not so tanky, but high damage and bone break. Third, an armored sauropod like ampelosaurus, saltasaurus, magyarosaurus, or diamantinasaurus. Slow, but an absolute tanky brute. Not a dino mid tiers would want to take on, a great counter to apexes. I like the idea of a “boss level” dinosaur and I think channeling the spirit of the argent mod through a smaller form with this would be great. Fourth, a tail whipper, maybe something like haplocanthosaurus, kaatedocus, or suuwassea, or if we’re going larger than apatosaurus, brontosaurus, or diplodocus. Tail riding will get you killed on this one, and with a very long neck it’d have good bite range/good ability to avoid head shots. Fifth, atlasaurus. Probably my favorite sauropod, but it also resembles my favorite prehistoric mammal chalicotherium. It’d spec into arm abilities. Stomps, kicks, good turning radius, all the fun stuff that comes from an animal with a gorilla-like stance. And lastly, my love, ledumahadi mafube. I imagine this one as a hippo, a semi aquatic. There’s something about the retro depictions of sauropods in the water that I just love, and I think ledumahadi would be a good pick for this. A high damaging tank of a dinosaur, would serve as the counter to spino. I think other animals could fill the hippo niche like lurdusaurus, but I really like the idea of a sauropodomorph in this niche. I’ve also tossed around ideas of a sauropodomorph like camelotia, a sauropod that specs more into speed than tankiness. Those are all of my thoughts on what sauropods I’d love to see in the game. All pretty small and all formidable opponents to anything that thinks can take one on. I think they’d all be able to fill a unique roll and have individualized gameplay. I think combining some of them, design wise, would also be interesting to get more of a “two for one” deal lol, like an armored sauropod with a whip tail sauropod or smth like that. I hope we see more sauropods come as officials some day.
Thank you! I’ve recently been upping the quality of the videos, I felt like they were more like slideshows, so I added more effects and sfx to transitions, as well as making the music change often due to the theme of each part
Would love to see nigersaurus In the game, it's nothing special I just really like it. :) Also for the height it was 2.4 meters and the length was 9m-15m (I dunno, alot of sources said 9 others 15)
@@VelocciYT I like the idea of Cedarosaurus, perhaps it could have a brachiosaurus inspired subspecies like how pycno has carnotaurus looking subspecies
How Dare They Scratch The Brachiosaurus,Argentinosaurus And Giraffatitan From The List In Path Of Titans I’m Still A Big Dinosaur Lover To These three Sauropod Dinosaurs and I’ve Even Grown Up With them And This Is Down Right Sick And Inhumane For The dinosaur Animation Designers And Creators To Scratch These Three Sauropods Off From The Path Of Titans List Right In Front To All Dinosaur Lovers Everywhere!!!😠😡😤
The channels themed around dino games, i play this one the most :D However, i do play alot of other games, i try not to play games i cover massively to avoid burnout :)
If you could get any sauropod in path of titans, what would you want? And check out this video for more Path of Titans theories: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fNIuTJI9nj0.html *please note this is a theory video, theorising and wishlisting based off of little information, there’s no official confirmation of such aside from mods.
If they add Shunosaurus and give it a bone break ability, I think we should have a rework to that ability over all. Instead of a bone break, why not classify them as leg breaks, then pave the way for other fractures. Any Dino biting at an anky will get a “jaw break” as their jaw goes downward toward the club, but besides that, it would be a “leg break.” Ontop of that, if you attack a Shuno, it being taller, you run the risk of your jaw breaking, and maybe that leads to lower over all bite strength
We need more dinosaurs from Africa, there were lots of them. Thats why the 500 toothed Nigersaurus is my top tier in my list. He's not big, under the 20m limit. And very goofy looking and i Love that.
Velocci, thank you for giving me hope. I'm at the point of wondering if you're paid by Alderon to give a false idea that Alderon communicate on their game. They dont communicate at all and thats frustrating, even their patch note are trash when you're on the launcher... Your videos make me feel like they can do everything in the game for the next 2 weeks, and then, 2 month later, nothing happened at all. Looks like they just sleep on the fact that community makes mod...Wth I personnaly dont play on community server for a lot of reason (balance, realism, dumb rules) but mostly because of the trash connexion i have, that is worst on community server. Balance in this game need regular update if you want people to play them instead of 50% pachys on a server. How many dino have empty capacity slots / useless capacity ? Do you have any information that Alderon game confirmed ? You have a lot of knowledge so you imagine the future...nice i got hope, what about real update soon ? Not against you ofc, as i said, hopefully you're here to make me dream...
Unfortunately I'm just like you, a guy with hope! This video was something people suggested me do a while ago, looking into the idea and the hope that there could be more sauropods, after all, we have both a mystery dino and a 10 year plan to potentially look forward to, alot of hope to come!
