It's so crazy to think that I found this random family vlogging one day just scrolling through youtube, watching monster high doll videos when I was 6, and then now I'm still watching you guys, and I'm 18 years old, a senior in high school, and graduating this upcoming may. I have grown up with the kids, especially Gavin considering we share a birthday. It's so wild to see Dax so grown up, same goes for Brock. It's wild how time flies and how fast we all grew up. I started watching the shaytards when shay and collette were making skits!! Before the vlogs! I remember when shay announced he was going to vlog for a year straight on his birthday, 28? Or even younger! The shaytards were my family when I had none and I’ve always looked up to both Colette and shay, they are so inspirational! Love seeing your videos, whether they are 3 times a week or every couple months! Thanks for everything you do!

I moved out when I was 29. There were times when I wanted to leave immediately on the spot, but now, after turning 30 it feels so good that things went like they did. I got to develop such different deep bond with both parents, I feel like they also got to learn a lot from true adult me. I got to try and fail with different jobs, encourage them to do things they love, retire a bit earlier so they could enjoy healthy 'older days'. Amazing deep, sometimes heartbreaking conversations, losses of loved ones, so much laughing and stupid jokes and just warmness. I know I'll never regret the time spent with mom & dad 'cos in the end there comes time when you can't spend anymore time with them. Then I'll cherish those days even more. So don't rush your kids to move out, you'll learn so much from them even after the teen phase gets left behind 😄❤️

@@shaaylaaaa In Finland it's safe to get kids young, since taxmoney will take care of you and the kid (you get child support money). But I still think it's better to get them later, after you're truly an adult (on how your brain works compared to young brain, you're mentally mature and ready to take care of another human being).
A huge part of the reason I joined the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was due to watching your family throughout the years! I was intrigued by your belief in the eternal family unit. I remember specifically you mentioned you loved the talk “A high priest of good things to come” by Holland. I watched it one day and it hit me. I think in that moment I knew I wanted to know more. Heavenly Father really led me to the gospel after that through certain people and situations I was in. I joined in 2015 at age 19, met a great guy and got married at 20, and now I’m 27 tomorrow and have three little kiddos under the age of 4. The gospel has changed my life forever. Your family was a puzzle piece in my journey to finding and accepting the gospel, and I couldn’t be more grateful for you choosing to share your life and beliefs with us. It makes me happy to hear that Gavin is planning to go on a mission to do what your family did for me. I don’t know you personally, but I’m so thankful for you.
Im glad that you found the gospel❤️ It is truly a power to salvation. But the LDS church does not preach the true gospel though. Please read the New Testament (no middle man) to learn the true gospel.

These kids are so grown I've been watching old vlogs in between your uploads and its crazy and Gavin going on his mission there's a video from 2013 when you guys flew to Idaho for Thanksgiving and a missionary came home and you guys watched him being reunited with his family and you told Gavin that would be you and him one day and that day is coming I love you shaytards you've made me smile on my worst days and still making me smile

I remember first spotting of Jackson was in a Shaytards video (or Carlie) of him carrying baby Dax. Then Jackson went to meet the brothers without Carlie! Great memories. So glad you guys are back!!

It’s good to see you guys upload almost everyday again. You guys continue being a positive influence to others out there as well as I do on my end. I was diagnosed with high-functioning autism at the age of 3, and doctors told me I wouldn’t be where I am at now, and boy have I proved them wrong. Because of this, I am an autistic self-advocate and will continue to be inspirational to others who struggle. Anyhow, I enjoyed watching you guys over the years and still do 10 years later, you guys are (in my book) the most positive people out there!

Oh golly do I love 'normal' day vlogs, except it never REALLY is 'normal' in this family! My family has actually gone through similar struggles with what you guys have faced over the past five years, but you guys are a great example of how what you do with a mistake is what matters most. I love that you guys promote healthy, normal relationships, because life is not always breezy. You guys inspired me over the past fews years to forgive, improve, and choose that happiness!
