I've said it once and I'll say it again. I love how perfectly representative Giyuu's eleventh form Dead Calm is of himself. It's quiet... But it's not *peaceful*. It's CALM. It's the silence of a graveyard. It's a taut, unmoving thread before it snaps. It's a predator in still water. And good god does he deliver.

At first, "she's cute" Then "she's scary" After that "shevs psycho!"

As good as this has been so far, believe it or not, it gets waaaaay better.

believe it or not, this show is gonna get even better. way better. also this episode serves to show the difference in level between a newbie like tanjiro and the gang, stronger demons like father, lower moon demons and finally hashiras. Tanjiro literally got beaten to a pulp even after using plot armor and summoning a new fighting style, plus the help from Nezuko. that's how strong a lower moon demon is. and Rui is lower 5, so there are still 4 even stronger demons in the lower ranks alone. then Tomioka comes in and kills Rui without even breaking a sweat. like, it was insultingly easy. he didn't even bother using a breathing technique to do it, just walked by him and casually swung his sword. this serves to show just how stronger a Hashira is compared to regular demon slayers (the Hashira is a title given to the strongest demon slayers). i won't talk about upper moon demons since that will include spoilers. ah, right, 11th water breathing form was created by Tomioka. no one else but him knows it, and he wasn't standing still, he just moved so fast that no one even saw it

I never understand why people are shocked by Shinobu, she's pretty rational. I mean she offers redemption just for a bit torture instead of killing them. That's not an an heavy price to pay for having killed so many people. That's pretty kind and more than fair. I mean they won't even get any lasting effect from it. IRL in some muslim countries they cut the hands of people just for stealing and it doesn't grow back 🤷

I lost it at 'Don't chew your water.' xD

God, this is spectacular! although waiting another week to see your reactions kills me haha but it's worth it, I feel like when I watched the anime for the first time and I had to wait a week anxiously.

Giyu used dead calm eleventh form it's a defensive move it cut those threads before it reached giyu Correction:- it's not a total defensive move in this form user totally calms down his body so as to concentrate on incoming attack and then slashing them with super speed unnoticable to human eyes so it appears still but its actually super fast

So it may be a short while before this comes up, but there is a choice regarding Demon Slayer Movie and Season 2, and many people have their own ideas on how they should be watched, because part of Season 2 covers same content (plus a little more) as movie. Option 1, Watch Movie, then watch Season 2 entirely. This is what almost everyone who was keeping up with Demon Slayer did, although it is painful to watch the part of S2 that covers movie (because you already know everything that happens) but you still get a little more dialogue and clarification and some moments hit harder because you understand the significance of those moments and you don't miss any of the Taisho Era Secrets. Option 2, Watch Movie, then watch Ep 1 of S2, then skip to Ep 8 of S2 to begin new Arc. Faster, able to get into next Arc sooner, but miss out on extra impact of understanding moments and missing several episodes worth of Taisho Era Secrets (though some just watch the TES on their own). Ep 1 takes place just before the Movie/Ep 2 of Season 2. Option 3, Skip Movie, watch entire S2. You get full content of S2, without worry of missing dialogue and experience standard Demon Slayer cliffhangers. Drawback is that you miss out on the rollercoaster experience that the movie takes you through in one sitting. Basically Movie has more focus on the combat, and Season 2 Episodes 2-7 have more dialogue, lore, and details.

WAIT i just realized something. If she can create poisons that obviously kill demons. Why isn't she just mass producing it and sending it to all the towns? Then the townsfolk can coat arrow tips in the poison and use bows and crossbows to deal with said demons.

In the "Demon Slayer" fan community all important characters get some love, but... never ever say something about Shinobu or Akaza... you get hunted down like Bambi's mom. I wonder who you two end up "simping" for like we all do. Btw., no need to look up "Akaza", you will learn about him early enough and remember his name for shure. All the breathing techniques have different forms per "default". Flame breathing has 8 and water breathing has 10 for example, BUT very skilled swordsmen create their own "stance/form", like Giyu with his eleventh form. It's like a personal touch from the swordsmen on the technique.
