I go every year and it makes me wonder why I never see myself or my friends amazing costumes

I love all the steampunk original stuff and all the steampunk versions of my favorite movies, tv shows and videogames. Also, I was suprised by the steampunk Gamzee riding a red car.

Every time I see a Steampunk costume or a Steampunk convention type event, I always think of tinkering. Like, that's what I associate Steampunk with, tinkering with things and inventing new things, lol.

BTW to all the people bitching about cardboard and plastic or whatever... Just stop your whining just because you use or think you should only use the best materials you are wrong. Steampunk is an aesthetic you can use cheap materials if it looks right, and to all the people saying there are out of place people think of every comic con ever (supposed to be about comics but practically everyone pops up there).

I wonder how many steampunk cosplayers know where steampunk came from. It came from Jules Verne and much later was applied to the very popular TV show Wild Wild West. I don't know when or what got it going with cosplay, probably Jules Verne and Wild Wild West fans. I admire steampunk the most of all the cosplayers because it's all about creativity and creating something totally unique. Thomas
