They clearly used autotune. Hitting a high E is with that precision are only managed by a few gifted vocalists. You can easily hear it at 1:06 - 1:09. These notes are artificial.
Ken Tamplin is also comparable, if you haven't seen that cover. But after having listened to Ken's doco on it, the original vocus on the track do not accurately represent Brad's singing, the recorded version added tricks to improve the vocals.
If you were not fortunate enough to see Boston live in the late 70s/early 80s this is about as close as you can get. Absolutely phenomenal performance. Those vocals were on an epic proportion right there.
@@AKDanMusicMan Leonid & Friends are superb on Chicago and such - really love the Carpenter's Superstar they do - but one of my very favs is their cover of Steely Dan's My Old School
My buddies and me would drive around on a hot summer's night in the 80's listening to this song (and others) on cassette tapes. No cell phones, no political BS, no social media...not a care in the world. We lived in the moment with no distractions. Damn, I miss those days so much!!!😥
Fun Clamp Prod Ltd, i have never heard a cover that can even come near to this. Boston and Brad Delph(God bless him) would have loved this and wondered how another band could play it so perfectly. I had the fortune to have seen Boston live, but this cover is phenominal. As for the big guy on lead guitar...well brilliant. Dave in Berlin
@@seatech44 i also went to a Boston concert in 1978. I had flown over from England and travelled on a Greyhound bus across the States from NY to LA via NM after getting chased out of Neuvo Laredo by some doods. Long time ago now. As for this Cover of More than a feeling, absolutely brilliant and i have lost count of how many times i have played it. All the best Dave in Berlin
RU-vid algorithms sent me this. And, before I clicked on it I said to myself, this was the first album at 10 yo and know every note, every nuance, every beat, and everything about these songs. This better knock my socks off. Mission accomplished boys! I’m sockless! Love it! Ow! Rock on my brothers
Absolutely Brilliant! When the greatest Rock n Roll songs of all time discussion comes up, this must be on the short list in the conversation. This song gives me goose bumps every time I hear it, and this recording hits the nail on the head. The vocals, back vocals, the guitar harmonies etc etc , are all dead on! Congratulations- so very well done!
Close your eyes and it feels like your standing right in front of them. I wrote once they are among the best cover bands on youtube. No, they ARE the best !!!
OH MY GOD!!!!! I asked you guys to do a Boston song in other comments because I didn't know this one existed yet. In any case, it SURPASSED my expectations. I"m a 63 year old dude and this song was IT for me and you guys just blew it out of the water. There is no adjective. I just want you to know how much joy you bring to others. All of you.
Only Boston themselves could have performed this song better, and not from a musical stand point because this was just perfect... but because they created the song. Other than that, i am absolutely speechless here, babbling, drooling in awe. It's just that i never thought the lead singer could reach the notes and the lead guitar nailed the solo reminding me of the original band. You are a fantastic band and i wish you all the success in the world.
Jordan, you absolutely NAILED what is arguably the most difficult rock song to cover. Your voice is so clear, and cuts right through the mix. U friggin' ROCK
Brad Delp(RIP) was the greatest Rock n Roll Lead Singer ever...he had incredible vocal range and ability... This is a tough song to cover...you guys pretty much nailed it! Best cover of that song I've heard. I went thru 6 copies of this Album in high school...greatest rock album ever!
@Outlawflyer78: So true. He got me standing up to cheer and I do not do that much at all. Totally impressed. I would pay big bucks to hear him sing this in person!
I never thought I would ever see anyone pull this off but Boston. Had you guys done this first this song would be forever associated with HSCC. Amazing.
Jordan is the BOMB! And these musicians are incredibly awesome. This is my go-to rendition of this song! Thanks Guys! I'm 73 and still enjoying "Boston".
As a guy who grew up in the same Massachusetts town, Danvers, as the lead sing of Boston, Brad Delp (RIP), I can confidently and without reservation say....BRAVO!!!
@@BBVDZX14 He is very good, not sure how much of that high parts were him or a computer enhancement. Also, I was very worried about his carotid arteries bursting haft way through the song. The only other band that comes close is Leonid Vorobyev and friends. IMHO
If you are the singer of the Boston song, your range is incredible. I was a professional keyboard/vocalist for many years here in the UK.My boys can all sing ,in fact two of them are in a heavy metal band.I have 6 boys and my 24 year old is a Boston fan.I told him about that song you sung and he was blown away.Well done!
I don't know... Australia is a great country, no doubt, millions of wonderful people, great talent, and famous for lots of amazing things. It just doesn't seem mathematically possible for this band to assemble these artists, and other artists on other songs I've heard and produce such incredible work . Every. Single. Time. You all are so amazing and exciting to listen to and watch, and you do this quality of work at such a high level. There just aren't THAT many people on the continent to assemble so many different personnel and do this. Just can't be. I'm wrong. There are.
Thought that myself too, and most come from Adelaide. Where does this talent simply come from. I would rather watch and hear the Hindley SCC than any other band going around. Of course they can mix and dubb in the studio, but boy what a sound they produce. Just makes you want to come back for more. As for Boston, well i saw them live back in 78, and tell you what, this is better
@@davidwilliamgay4821 You know you can judge your success as an artist and musician producing great covers by the simple fact this band sounds better on almost all their videos on YT. Con has proven, not only by his remarkable bass playing, but also by his dead-to-rights producing and arranging on this bands now voluminous amount of work. 150M views and counting... amazing. These guys and gals are the real deal. They are my #1 reason to travel to Australia... gotta see them live.
I am a brazilian guy who listened this song many times. This is One of my favourite songs, for sure. I knew all the others musicians , except the vocalist, and as everyone else, I was curious about his performance, singing this song. No surprise.Excelent as usual. Congratulations from Brazil. Rock on!
🇨🇦 ...HSCC one thing your not ....."Is a cover band" ......your world class , professional and over all great Musicians.....Lov in it from Toronto Canada.
This is an easy song for instrumentalists, and I usually dislike 'faithful' covers, but this song demands loyalty to the original vocals. Bloke nailed it. 10/10.
@@Facts_dont_hurt You should check out some of the videos or even critiques for Sohyang in some of her live performances. Her signature is a sustained Bflat5 in a full belt along with absolutely unreal agility and vocal control. Then check out Dimash Kudaibergen who has a 7 octave range. For something a little less inhuman, check out Ken Tamplin. This guy is pretty good, but there is yet another tier of ability above him.
The Good People with "Hindley Street" Never fail to impress. With every Video; They Prove their Passion & Dedication to the Music they cherish. Well Done ! ;-)
I am simply staggered by this. I've played and sung in a variety of quality covers outfits, but this is on another planet. I was obsessed with this song when it came out and I'm even more obsessed with this rendering. The way the lead singer cuts through the mix with amazing clarity is sensational. Actually (and I'm unashamed to say this) moved to tears! 😭😉😉
Same here! Played/sang in cover bands but these guys are ridiculous! Jordans voice and range is ... Fvcking amazing! I too shed some tears. I think it's a mix of joy and envy lol
The last name of the lead singer should be proud of him, while Hindley street got to be known world wide thanks to their namesake band! And the entire band and its (many) members have one important thing in common - they are able to create such a positive vibe around them! Great to watch, great to listen to, great in every other respect group of talented people.
That note at 2:36 is so phenomenal. You can tell Jordan is at the peak of his powers and he knows it's there. He's not even pulling the mike back, just letting us have all of that perfect note.
It's funny, when HSCC releases a new song version, despite most of the time I already know it, I listen to the version over and over again, like as the first time I heard the original...and many times their version is even better! :)
More than a cover!! I’m over 70 and this is one of my favourite songs of all time. I play it often but due to its age it lacks a little something. I always wished it would have been remastered. Thanks to you guys you have more than full filled that wish with this outstanding cover. Each and every one of you have put your heart and soul into this and have made me a very happy man. Those guitars, those drums and those unbelievable voices all coupled with a perfect production. I’ve just accidentally stumbled on this and will probably spend the next couple of days catching up on what I’ve been missing. Thank you.
The original Boston version was recorded and mastered for vinyl. It sounds absolutely wonderful when played on vinyl through a decent sound system. The standard CD version was a big let down. And same for the modern streamed versions. It does need to be properly remastered for digital streaming. But even then, I don't think it will ever sound as good as it did on the original vinyl release.
OH MAN!!!!!!!!!!!! That was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! Literally EVERYTHING was nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!!!! I have never heard anyone match Brad Delp's vocals (from Boston) and this singer just hit every note! I am so impressed!!!!!! The guitars sounded GREAT as was the bass and drums / percussion. The keys added just the right amount of extra sound and the backing vocals were beautiful. WOW!!!!!
When guitar and voice harmonise with those high notes, you know you’ve nailed it like the original. When you elevate the high notes and they’re just as strong… that’s a special talent 👏
good lord i didn't think that impossible high note was actually achievable and this dude absolutely nailed it! extremely impressive! as well as the rest of the flawless performance by this incredible band!
It is, but it is NOT an easy note for most male vocalists to hit. I lost the range to hit it somewhere between age 40 and age 45. I'm 52 now and with each passing year I lose a little more from the top of my range, which isn't unusual... It happens to everybody eventually.
I can't get over this! These freaking musicians and singers are FANDAMNTASTIC! How am I just finding this cover band just a little over 2 weeks ago and I simply can't get enough! They're all GREAT!
I'm an Aussie and only found them a few weeks ago. At first I thought maybe they were Brits but then discovered they were Australian. Very proud of them all and they're all I've been listening to since. The talent and production on each video is fabulous.
Take my breath away, did this song way back in the 70s, it sounds as good if not better than the original! You guys just tear me up, Darren and Con, How do you come up with this stuff? It’s unbelievable how good you are.
I heard an interview with Delp where he said he used to dread singing this song because of the high notes. Jordan nails them. Delp will be so proud... damn, what an amazing performance, vocally, and the whole band... much respect 🙏
Just heard about 12 other renditions of this song! HSCC with Jordan Lennon is absolute the best in quality and clarity etc. Every time I hear this rendition I don't want it to end!
