@@BondJamesAgent yeah but when you try to do it , you Might see yourself highlighted in the scoreboard and if you're in last place you might get mentally weaker thus missing hits
7:30 this! I don’t play duelist, but I’ve had multiple rounds where everyone else instalocks a duelist and I play my normal sentinel to try and help. I’ll end up top dragging and they will still yell at me for not be able to hold a site by myself or take a 1v3. Especially with KJ. I know my lineups and do my part, now Jett, maybe you should be the first one to peak the angle!!
That one about not stealing aces really hits home for me because I’ve literally never got an ace because people keep taking the last kill. I’ve honestly just settled into the darkness at this point.
The reason you toss awp to jet is she can peak and dash away. It’s easier for her to trade favorably. Also, if you’re dying a lot at the very least hit M and ping while you’re dead. Like Sova says, “there are other ways to be useful.”
6:45 I open that door every round I'm playing in the hallway on defense because the hallway is too easy to hold and that door being open gives you a simple crossfire down to the main push. Pretty op actually. - Just an Immortal 3
Also about the not blaming teammates part, I totally agree! I had some annoying guy who blamed everything on us even tho he was at like 2nd to bottom frag, but sometimes it's actually true and your teammate(s) are acting toxic/feeding/giving locations.
4:41 score board is actually quite important since you might wanna give your teammate a ult winning round, but it does discourage you, so keep calm and we can piah thought
tbh, i always listen to music while playing in val. i just have it so quiet i can barely hear it, even when its silent in game. if i dont i just take it too serious and get tilted way too quick. for me, it makes me keep having fun in game, even when we're losing
If you wanna play music while playing I recommend playing it while in the buy phase. Your keyboard usually comes with one of the function keys being play/pause button so you can immediately play/pause without coming out the game
Not killing an enemy when when the opportunity arises just because someone wants to have an ace is just plain stupid. It's being cocky, disrespectful to opponents and sometimes leads to losses.
listening to music while playing valorant is one thing; playing valorant while listening to a valorant video will make every sound cue a 50/50 chance of being real
In the current game meta one of the strongest things you can have in your team is a Jett with operator. She has the advantage at peaking with op cause even if she misses she can dash out to safety, kinda broken.
The Jett with AWP only happens because of Jett uses the dash as a crutch when they miss the shot. That's the only reason. People do t have something to fall back if they miss the shot
If it's the last round before swap and you have spare credits, use all of them to buy as many shortys as you can and juggle them before the round starts
I love the scoreboard one bro, I have played Valorant for 3 years now and when people ask me for advice I always tell them that KDA does not matter, all it does is show how you are performing, not hoe good or bad you are, all that matters is the fact that you work with your team to win the match, it does not matter if you are on the bottom. Just do your best and have fun.
You forgot a very important un-written rule:- "Never play competitive with friends" Lets say you have 1 friend who is very new to valorant and you are a pro. If both of you play competitive then valorant will pair up people who are as good as you with your friend and your friend's rank will go down, your friend will drag you and your team down and he will eventually stop playing valorant because he would think he is very weak.
When you said when your whole team buys Odins or any other gun you buy the same. It remind me a of game I played with these couple of toxic player which were in a party. We were not doing so good because we keep losing each round. Then they suggested that we full buy with odin, which I was totally bad at using. They started being so toxic to me even when I was carrying their whole team had 29 kills while they were 9-10 kills each. I saved a couple of rounds. But they were still so toxic, called me names, and that I’m shit.
I pay for the skin bundle after a long night shift work, level up my battlepass to upgrade the skins. just for a 12 years old baby to ask me to drop him my hard earned skin? Nah fam, i'm good.
listening to music is fine under a very specific condition, it is really, truly, background music, I have an extension that allows me to put my youtube super super super quiet, so I set it to basically like .1% so it's quieter than footsteps, so I can still chill to it if nothing is happening, but it's quiet enough that I can tune it out through some focus
on the music topic, I customized my audio settings so footsteps are super loud and I play quiet chill music in the background to lock me in. I can still hear everything fine and I get the rhythmic and calming effects of the music
the sent and duelist one is true but also not true at the same time true bcs duelist kit is specifically made for fragging out and sent is made for holding down areas but then again you also need good aim to frag out
i listen to lofi while playing, but i set the volume to low until i can hear footsteps, then i turn it off when i want to go tryhard or if enemy trash talks
I’ve opened the door a few times, but that’s only when I play Yoru and have a tp set else where to distract the enemies, doesn’t often work though, I’m unranked anyway so it don’t matter to me
For my unwritten rule, play brainless-ly; well not totally. What happens all the time when I get too serious is that I perform worse; a serious mood and a bad game does not help. That's why I reccomend people to not play so seriously, even in comp; just act like it's unrated.
If my duelists are not entrying, i don't care if they have 5, 10, 45, or 3 kills. I don't care if i am bottomfrag with 3 kills. I will tell them to Entry no matter what
I open the door in Breeze at site A when defending. If the enemies are in tubes, they'll be caught by surprise and gives me a vantage point. Also they get distracted by sound of the door and rush it. Sometimes, be creative with it.
"Don't push through the smoke without flashing or using util, you might get one tapped" Pushes through smoke without flashing or using util in next clip
The only time I agree with someone saying their bottom drag bc their sentinel is if the topfrag Reyna with 40 kills from mostly kill stealing is being toxic
Personally I pick an agent and wait about 5-10 seconds before locking so if someone else wants that agent they can quickly lock them in. I play multiple and don't really care which ones I play so it's to show I'm thinking about using that agent so they can make up their mind.
If you are playing a duelist, don’t be mad about not being a top fragger or not getting high kills. You are a duelist for creating space, taking sites and overwhelming the enemy team, that’s your only job. If you are able to do that then that’s good, getting more kills and not contributing to the team or your role is way worse than being a bottom fragger, it’s always about the team play and playing the objective not the kills and since you are the one creating that space, there are chances that you will die in that round and your teammates get the kills so that’s why.
2:48 in a knife fight someone on the enemy team oped one of my teammates, so I shot back. The enemy team blamed me for breaking the truce. I love Valorant.
aight its been a year but i play much better when i play music, and aces don't really matter, only time it matters is basically 1v5 situation. like when u have your teammates alive u get a lot of coms of where everyone is but when its a 1v5 situation, the hype is kinda crazy, ur heart starts to beat really fast.
This is an unwritten rule that needs to be there. Butterfly knives are the best unless you get oni katana. I own oni katana. It’s just because my friend complained that I didn’t get firefly. It’s because I grinded freecash. And he argued it’s better.
I do open the door in breeze and play there so that's how i play for halls and also watch the site push or spam there ... But I do it only if I'm playing sage chamber or KJ ...
i actually think a lot of those 'rules' are stupid. Like the music thing, i can consentrate better with music, i just make it quieter than the game. Then the thing about what bottomfraggers are Allowed to say. Sometimes i have a bad round and the topfragger plays too risky or is just being dumb and i rage a bit and mostly, the tips i give while raging really help. Also, the scoreboard thing. I think thats complete BS but yeah. My most important rule: dont talk yourself down, dont be too serious if it isnt comp and have fun. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk :)
Rule: If you are holding spike? FOLLOW THE DAMN CALL. Nobody wants you, the Sage who ran forward and grabbed spike, to die because you refuse to listen when we say "That's a 4v1, let's dip out and rotate A site" Duelists might be able to take on that engagement safely, you might get a few people coming through and caught off guard. However, if you are holding spike, you need to be willing to adapt on the fly and listen to callouts because nobody can save the game if you drop spike in an easily protected location.
6:49 i only open door on attacking bc if we hear steps but no ones there we often just do like one watches behind one front one opens door snd another guy rushes trought door
for that music one, I gotta disagree, i like leaving music, but i leave it low to where i can still hear valorant well, but loud enough to hear and enjoy
I'm open the door até Brezze when using Yrou or Omem. It's good for a fake. Like: Fake that I didn't see the enemy and walk away by the door. But then teleport to back if hear the enemy opening/closing the door.
