I’m so disgusted with Cedar Point and their secretive attitude and lack of any updates ! Give us at least a rough idea of where things stand with the ride for Pete sake !

First of all, are you a shareholder? I think I know the answer to that question. Second of all, you do have a “rough” understanding of what happens. You’re certainly not on the engineering team of Zamperla are you an employee of Cedar Point. Why would they have to give you more information? The people in charge of fixing it haven’t yet. That’s all you need to know.

I agree with you. As a customer, you know, the people that make shareholders wealthy, you deserve to be updated, especially in light of the fact that this downtime has way exceeded the time frame Tony Clark stated. CP should treat their customers better. It might even help their stock price. Radical thought. But it is most likely that because of the shareholders that CP didn't want to disclose the known long-term duration of the downtime. To do so would mean trip cancelations and thus, lost revenue. Again, you the customer take a backseat to the shareholders. Take your money elsewhere and maybe CP will start treating you like you matter.

Customers INVEST their money into the parks buy purchasing admission tickets, season passes and everything else CP sales. CUSTOMERS play a big role in what the parks invest in since they are they ones keeping the doors open. No customers = no business. Not only are you disrespectful but you're also not very smart. Customers spend their hard earned money at CP therefore YES THEY DESERVE AN UPDATE.

I met a couple of Zamperla workers at Hotel Breakers Wednesday morning and asked if it was going to open this year. Their response: “Cedar Point will provide you with any updates.”

I found out something very interesting yesterday about Zamperla and Intamin. Zamperla has worked on rides that go over 100 MPH, and do have experience working on launch coasters. A lot of Zamperla's employees are former employees of Intamin who worked on the original Top Thrill Dragster. This is why Cedar Point went with Zamperl;a instead of Intamin. I think that they made the correct choice. They will get Top Thrill 2 running again. All new rides have problems, and you should know that!

Yesterday they backed the silver train into the station, and there were 3 guys checking stuff out in the infield, and they moved a big orange machine further back towards the top hat

I haven't seen this thrown out there much yet, maybe it has been and I've been missing it but is it too early to start asking what are they going to do for those of us who purchased season-long fastlane plus, who bought it specifically to ride Top Thrill 2 this year and didn't get to? how do we get compensated for that??? Or do they say "screw you, ride our other rides!" But then we could turn around and say "we only bought SLFLP because that is the only way to get unlimited rides on Top Thrill 2, and you didn't provide a promised product!" Idk thats a tough one

I'm betting you agreed to some sort of fine print that everything was subject to ride availability. They are a smart company they cover themselves I'm sure. Sucks but🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

@huddyr1112 This is the issue with roller coaster parks: the parks are guaranteed to get your money when you hand it over to them but you the customer have ZERO guarantee that you will get what you paid for. Good business model for the park but a total gamble for the customer. The company can always choose to compensate in some way when rides don't live up to anywhere near the hype, but they're under no legal option to do so. All you can do in response is to vote with your wallet.

@@roberttore3442 not only that but of the pass was used on other rides throughout the season there really isn't a need to refund. If the pass was never activated bc the person was waiting for TT2 to open it would prob be a different story.

I do not believe the ride will open back up this year. I think it’s a wash. And I would say that you guys are probably hit 4000 subscribers before they reopen top thrill two.

I will be there the 23rd to the 27th for my 62nd bday! Yup still a coaster and a Ghoster Coaster fan! Guess we just never know but I’ll volunteer to take a test run!!

Whatever really needs to be done is not going to be done with our prying eyes around. It will be done over the off-season or the 3 days of downtime in September and October. I still believe they need new trains, but I also agree a math problem went very wrong.

They are not going to open it as a “surprise.” The downtime is not a tactic to get people more hyped on the ride. They will open the ride when it can be safely opened again, not at some scheduled time to maximize marketing potential. They’ve already sailed that ship.

IMO the reason we havent had a update since June because the issue or issues with TT2 isnt good and very bad! Thats why its been the sound of silence!

Sick of hearing about TT2. I wasn't even a big fan of the OG Dragster. Cedar Point is my home park and I can count on my hands how many times I've been on Top Thrill Dragster. I would much rather have an El Toro like wooden coaster or a smooth Shivering Timbers on that land.

From my understanding, The original Top Thrill Dragster Trains are still in possession of Cedar Point, and haven't been shipped to Knott's Berry Farm for spare parts on Xcelerartor. Retrofit Those Tough Workhorse Trains to operate with the LSM Launch System by redesign the Chassis, and get rid of those GARBAGE LIGHTNING TRAINS!!!

New for 2026 Top Thrill lawn ornament. Just bring Intamin in already. It's obvious that Zamperla does not know what there doing. Cedar Point just needs to sue Zamperla and take the money and get Intamin in to fix it properly. I know it's not happening, but we can hope.

Seeing people like Coaster Studios saying “it’s a prototype” “they need to work out the bugs” drives me nuts . Just because something is a “prototype” doesn’t mean it was engineered well or should even exist at all.

How are you supposed to get things first try. You may think you have everything but almost always there’s something else not accounted for or missing that can mess up everything just give them a bit of time and those trains will be to perfection rivaling Intamin’s

I don’t know if the base age of the viewers of this channel is between 17 and 21 which would make it make sense but anyone older than that, these comments are ridiculous. The park went with manufacturer that was an experienced to produce a train welds so that if there were another accident, they could attest to doing remedies within reason and showing an abundance of caution so that catastrophic accident doesn’t happen again. The decision made sense, especially since the rides original no manufacturer lost a lion share of engineers that are now at this company, some of which worked on the original project. Unfortunately, this new company, or rather new roller coaster division of a primarily flat ride company had no prior analytics to help them prevent this type of learning curve. this was one of Zamperla’s first projects and to be quite honest with you, they were in way over their head. From a litigious situation, going with Intamin again, would not be a bad choice, but it would not show that they took an abundance of caution. I understood why they made the decision because if you were to make a list of pros and cons, I do understand how they got here. I guess I don’t understand why people are pretending like the park wouldn’t be fantastic even without this roller coaster. If the most important thing to you, and I’m not saying, the people who do a phenomenal job producing content on this page, I’m talking about the viewers, if a roller coaster that you don’t own causes you distress, you need a life and potentially a therapist

😂😂😂 This was a GOAT comment.... Personally I was fearful of and hated the fact that they did not go with Intamin (They did take a bid proposal number and design from Intamin, but apparently, Intamin's price was ASTRONOMICALY HIGH! And zamperla gave a great pitch with a great price so I guess I can't blame them, but we can all easily say we told you so 💯 this problem is way more severe than they're letting on they're not going to say the truth because these trains were supposed to be so easy to fix and blah blah blah blah blah everything they said was bull crap they know it! So now they're embarrassed and their stuck... they can't say anything because it's going to make them look worse so they're choosing the lesser of two evils and just staying silent hoping to get it open, hoping zamperla pulls off a miracle ...imo it's not going to happen

@@huddyr1112 They probably DO NOT want the public to know the extent of the issue because that would be a disaster i am sure. They took a chance and it just didn't pan out. There also is a reason why the cost difference was huge. Cedar Fair is like me in terms of wanting quality but, i am willing to pay for it without shortcuts. Can you ever get a deal? SURE! i have great credit and bought a new car with a color that was my 2nd or 3rd choice but i got almost 10k off and it's an Audi! My trade in that i surprised them with brought my payment down considerably. I will likely not own this car beyond 75k miles but i wanted what i wanted and was willing to pay for it. I could have bought used but you NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO with a used European car so i bought new. Cedar Fair should have given the job to Intamin. It's not to say the ride never would have been down but it IS to say it would'tn be for these issues and Intamin has pretty much fine tuned the reliability of their swing/,ulti launched ride

@@huddyr1112The trains could still be fixable it’s probably just that they mean when parts need to be replaced it’s a straightforward process. Many people say the issue is simply accelerated wear and Zamperla wants to fix this (Probably better for Cedar Point as less part replacements.) Not only that but the part(s) could eventually break and there goes Top Thrill 2 but also after this other Lightning coasters won’t have this problem as now Zamperla has a basis for the properties of their lighting trains

Top Thrill Dumpster 2 is done for the remainder of the season. End of story. Intamin is gonna fix it all and it’ll open on 2026. Zamperla fail on a MASSIVE level. Stick to kiddie rides.
