Michael Grade said that when you watch these song routines from Eric and Ernie in their Thames shows, he said they made a very clever decision. As there is no script needed, as the song has been written, it is just dance actions to go with it, making these routines popular and feel new, rather than the rehashed BBC routines they would normally do.
This was from the duo's 1982 Christmas Show, showing that they were running out of ideas as in the previous year's Christmas Show in 1981 the duo with Suzanne did a very similar routine "Razzle Dazzle", in fact Eric and Ernie were wearing nearly the same outfits.
I guess not many viewers to video. Shame tho...where can you see such clean comedy in the year 2013. And Suzanne Danielle. There is only one of her. In a word KNOCKOUT.
Sam Torrence proposed to her on Concorde on the way to the 1987 Ryder Cup, and she accepted. Apparently, they celebrated vigorously at every opportunity in their Hotel room a fact noted by his Captain, Tony Jacklin ... When the first games were announced on the Thursday night, Jacklin said " Sam, we giving you a rest, you're playing tomorrow !! "
4:42 One of the salient features of a Morecambe and Wise musical number. Eric and Ernie and their guest star lift up props and Eric's prop falls to bits in his hands.
She must have been one of the sexiest women at that time, and obviously very keen to exploit the effect she had. When people ask where have all the sexy women gone, just take a look at a show like this one. There's your answer!
I think her good looks & the decline of the British film industry at the time didn't help her 'career'- but she moved on & maybe she's had a better life for doing so ...
God there are some nasty people on here. Suzanne Danielle has been happily married to Sam Torrance for years. I'm sure they're very happy. Why do you criticise him? Poor behaviour.
3:15 - You can understand why watching this bit how the younger viewers in 1981 felt not entertained by this, it did look old fashioned and stale. Nothing wrong with their performance, but by 1981 things were changing in TV which would knock away these old entertainers.
Suzanne Danielle married Sam Torrance the Scots golfer in 1995. To the best of my knowledge, he's not fat or a mind control expert either! Not exactly vintage Morecambe & Wise with a classic british star of stage and screen, but a nice looking piece of fluff who was on our screens briefly at the time when this was made.
Nine & Eleven [9/11 or £0-9s-11d] was short for nine shillings & eleven [old] pence;... ...Britain had one of the most mind bogglingly confusing currencies until 1971 when we saw the light & went decimal!
