This is a video of the morel elate carbon 62a component set with the passenger door panel off. The morel mps 4.400, class a/b amp is running the mt450 tweeters on channels 1&2, and the midbass drivers on channels 3&4. The Mosconi Aero 8/12 DSP is sending the signal to the amp. The subwoofer level control is turned all the way down.

since i see that Taco in the driveway... i just installed morel maximo ultra - the 603 comps. in a tacoma, the factory tweeter spot is great for the 2.5" midrange. there's a plastic adaptor ring you can get for around $11 that's used to hold tweets, but i filed it open a bit and the mids fit right in. now my tweets are up in the sail panel. the soundstage was raised about 2 feet.. i took ALL the jbl factory bits and chucked 'em over the fence.. originally i wanted a budget system, so i did have CT sounds Meso 6.5 comps, but despite them having great midbass, the tweets were pretty harsh. even stepped down to -3dB not my daily driver, but still wanted a mid-priced and a little better than "entry level" for the truck. Joying 10.1 android head unit Morel maximo 603 front ct sounds meso 6.5 midrange in rear alpine 5 channel power density 100x4 + 500x1 JL TW3 behind seat i'll save the higher end morel/blam/hertz for my next new car. i may go with active system, DSP and all that.

That's my brother's tacoma, and I installed a kicker key in that with focal plug and plays and it's impressive for what it is

mine is a '15, so premade boxes are limited to near zero. the '16+ at least have JL pre-fabs for purchase. i just went w/ a JL tw3 in a power wedge, had to remove jbl sub box and rear seat plastic. originally, i fitted a skar vd-8 in the jbl box but being such thin plastic, the skar sub put a hurt on it. took it out for the upgraded JL W3.. oh well, i cant see it behind the seat. i could prolly do a smallish custom box with two 8's but for now the single 10 is decent. @@christiandshatto7765

I got the hybrid 52s with an audison sr 4.500 they paired perfectly with a dsr1 and an alpine r2a150m and two kicker comp qs

What other components have you used in the past? Are these the carbon elate pro? Someone told me to go with tye Morel over 05he JL Audio C7. Im doing the 3way components

I’m planning for a Audison apk 165 p component that has 115 rms , the head unit I use is Alphine ilx 650 . I’m looking for an amplifier that gives a warm and soothing tone . I’m confused between Morel 4.400 class ab amplifier vs Audison 4.300 class d amplifier . Pls suggest which I should go …

If those are you only two choices, I'd prefer the morel. #1. It's class a/b. #2. It is probably the most underrated 4channel, a/b on the market. If you are going to stay all audison, I'd consider the 4.500, over the 300. Granted, the morel is rated 70watts rms@4ohms, but it has incredible sq, and mid bass drivers, imo, have better output than most class ds I've heard/used. Another Amp to consider is the d'amore 700.4. It is on sale for less than $300.

Thanks a lot Christian . I will go with Morel then .. How about Helix D 4 amplifier compared to Morel . I could see THD less than morel

@prky009 that would be an excellent choice. ALTHOUGH, I've never used Helix, I did get to listen to Mike Eckeley's A4 ( he works for msc the distributor in the usa for Helix,& lives close to me) which has i7 components, and the v12. It sounded excellent!!!I thought I posted the brief video here? If not I will look.for.it and do so.

No, the morel elate carbons need at least 75 to 100 Watts RMS because they are not an efficient driver, they need power to perform the kicker key only puts out 50 Watts RMS

@@christiandshatto7765 I believe you can run Key 200.4 in Bi-amp mode and it would achieve 100 RMS or very close to it.

I am using morel elate with zapco 150.6ap and still feel lacking in power. You are using them with mps 4.400, having 70w rms? Surprised.

Sounds so good but YES, under powered. Right now, I'm using the D'amore 700.4 with Mosconi Aero 8)12 DSP. I switch amps all the time. The next amp will be a Mosconi pro 430 to the elates, I'll let you know if that's enough power. Ratings are 170 watts rms@4ohms 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
