Sure thing. I have gotten a few year after year, but not if I don't keep the slurry going as well. Just have to be persistent. Good luck. Lemme know how it works for you.
I have tried this before with very little success, so I; am going with a new way of making a slurry mix buy making a slurry mix with LC that I have made from a Yellow Morel that grows on my farm, all you need to do is smash up one morel in a zip lock bag to the point that it is just mush in the bag, then add some of this mush to 250Ml. of distilled water with one tablespoon of Karo syrup and 1/4Tsp. of Malt Extract in a pint jar with a syringe filter in the lid for gas exchange then after the LC grows for a week or two it then will be add to 4gal.'s of distilled water in a 5gal bucket that has 16 times more Karo and Malt Extract for 2 weeks to colonize before I add the last gal. of distilled water. Once a day you will need to shake the LC until it is added to your Morel bed.
Wow, sounds awesome. I have not had a ton of success either. Please let me know how this turns out for you. I would definitely be interested in hearing how it worked and giving it a try myself. Thanks!
@@jklivinlife I have been growing oysters and making LC for over 4yr.s now and I also belong to a mushroom group for beginners & experts where a friend suggested trying it. I did grow some Cup Morels last year from LC that Lenny Rockwell Sr. gave me to try to grow. Will not brag but I, am the first person to ever grow them.
@@jklivinlife 40Acre farm with rolling hills and timber ground where the wild mushrooms grow. LOL and I have a morel bed that I have been working on with a nonnutritive soil made up from 50% organic compost, 30% organic soil and 20% white sand in a greenhouse covered with an 80% UV netting instead of the clear plastic.
I've got 5 acres of morel forest in my backyard anyway so look forward to boosting my harvests...think ill wait until im a day away from rains coming. Wonder if adding Yeast nutrients could supercharge fungal takeoff like it does for brewing.
Hello John KERN, this is Scott KERN from Wadena Minnesota Ave. We’re having troubles with morels ever since our tornado ruined the woods we picked him and I just watch the video where you mix them together with flour in good water, but what was the results after you planted them in your wife’s plants.?? I had an idea of mulched wood along my garage all the way around if I poured it in there, would mushrooms grow there. Do they need to get sunlight and how many hours
Hello Scott Kern! Most of the mushrooms that I was able to grow were in not overly sunny areas. I was able to get more to grow in the yard than in the flower beds. I did not make slurry last year so did not have any mushrooms this year. This year I was so busy I did not even go hunting at all. I need to restart the sequence. Good luck growing yours. Thanks for watching.
Show up anytime my friend. There will be cold beers and we will make some wings. There will be grapes in the fall. Have a good one and thanks for watching!
Well, we have gotten some morels from the slurry. We know because of the locations of use, but true, we are not collecting pounds of these. If that were the case then nobody would have to go to the woods. Growing morels is not easy. Thanks for watching!
Hey John, I found like three mushrooms in my normal area in the woods by the Popo treason and it’s really close to water. We used to find a new every year but ever since the tornado it’s really not good anymore. Other trees started growing up in there, so it’s thicker. Did you have another video after you poured your slushy on your wife’s flowers or bushes? Or is that a video yet to come?
For sure worked. Night quite as many as I had hoped, but all in all I did get them to grow in my yard. Have to "re-seed" every year to keep em every year
@@jklivinlife well at least you found some. I’m finally trying out a couple different slurry methods right now after talking about doing it for years now so hopefully in the next couple years I’ll be seeing some growth. Thanks for the update!
